Karen 4/1/2010Interesting point. Did that, but not really to any satisfaction. Problem is determining with certainty which fuse governs the windows, checked manual, Chilton schematics, box under hood, box under dash, tested this and tested that, tested switches. Nothing specifically states the location of the fuse to the windows. But a lot of testing has been done. All passenger windows go up and down when a friend rigged up a wire to see if they would. Not the driver's window though. -
KROSableLSPremium 11/26/2012I had the same problem. I had to go to a junk yard and get a new switch.(the one in the drivers door), and my mech bypassed the reg so they would work. The ultimate issue i am finding out, i need a new alt..., my EATC (climate control) goes in and out also..took to have checked...alt is going bad(check engine light also on btw). Asked if it is going bad could it make electrical systems shut off and he told me yes..it is a safety mechanism to keep your car alive as long as possible until the alt is replaced. hope this is helpful..have your alt checked.
