My water pump went bad, how much should installing a new one cost?

The car started making a loud noise and overheating but I seen no smoke.

  Hello
  Around $400 to $500 approximatly for just the pump. You will need to replace the timing belt and balance shaft belt as well. Hopefully you did not get the engine too hot because it would be a waste of time and money on that engine. You should also be aware that you have an interference engine and if it went out of time bent valves can be expected. hope this helps.
