2004 Ford Explorer XLT 6Cyl4.0L - Engine
vehicle does not start and always needs a jump
this happens ONLY ON RAINY DAYS!!! i attempt to start my vehicle and it doesnt start and is always in need of a jump...this happens only on rainy days. after the jumpstart, it starts for the remaining of the day ( i know this sounds weird).....i changed my starter now, and am going to see if this was the problem...or am i missing something? please give me an answer...thanks!

    get your alternator and battery checked at autozone if the alternator fails and battery passes you need a new alternator only if your battery fails you only need a new battery if both fail well you need both new i do not recommend rebuilt parts

    it sounds like a draw problem. to test this you disconnect the negative cable end from the battery and put a dvom that reads amps in line between cable end and battery. if draw is more than .050 amps the battery will go down. if the draw is more than .050 pull fuses 1 at a time until the draw goes away. this will be the affected circuit. if it only happens on rainy days i would try to perform this test under those conditions. good luck
