1981 Jeep CJ5 Base 6Cyl4.2L - Steering & Suspension

The vehicle is lifted with shackles about 6". Just drove it for the first time Saturday and it was all over the road.

The steering is tight, someone told me it needs a drop down pitman arm to correct the problem because it is a stock arm on a lifted vehilce. Is this correct?

  Most likely cause. Try the manufacturer of the lift kit to see if there is a re-positioned pitman arm needed or available.

  I found one in JC Whitney for lifted Jeeps. I will try that. Thanks Jimm.
