What could be the cause of the vehicle cutting off when brakes are applied?
When applying the brakes and coming to a stop I feel a tremble in the brakes and the vehicle cuts off. When I let off the brake when I begin to feel the tremble it will go ahead and stop like it should without cutting off. They thought it could possibly be the alternator and it was getting enough electricity have had it serviced two times I pick the car up and the problem still happens. Is it possible it could be the transmission???

Ressearched a little bit and it seems the throttle body can cause this or the IAC valve the Idle Air Control Valve. Those can both be cleaned and will sometimes resolve the issue you are having. Also one person noticed if they turn the a/c on it doesn't stall when braking because turning the a/c on raise the rpms so it keeps the car running at higher idle. I would check the following

    1. idle air control valve
    2. if it is an auto tranny, the lock up torque converter is not unlocking quick enough.
    3. fuel pressure problem.

on #2, try this on your own. get it up to speed, drop it into neutral, then hit the brakes hard and see if you stall then.

on #3, you don't indicate how much fuel there is in the tank when this happens (not that any of us would have mentioned it). If the tank is low, the gas may slosh fowrward and the fuel pump may be tired enough that it can't get fuel to the rail and injectors quick enough. Long shot I know, but the ultimate could result in a pressure problem.
