trunk lid will only open with key. inside release and key chain remote does not open it?

  Your solenoid type actuator isn't working. It's either the wring got loose of you will need to replace the actuator.

  Thanks much for your reply, Any idea when it is located? I checked the owners manual and it doesn't list that particular solenoid. Could it be around the actual lock mechanism?

  Check the valet switch at the top of the glove box opening. It's an in-out switch; should be out to allow electric opening of trunk.
