1983 Dodge D150 Base 6Cyl3.7L - Engine
my truck will not idle
i have replace everything but the spark control module, runs fine at high speed but you have to keep it idled up with your foot or it dies

    Its possible that the choke on the carb. is not functioning properly test the electrical lead to it (if it is not vaccuum operated) with a test light and with the ignition in the on position it should have power. If it has power then see if manipulating the linkage from the choke to the carb. so that the flap it controls remains open and see if doing that will allow the engine to run at idle. If it does replace choke pulloff (if a one barrel carb.) or replace the choke themostat (if a two barrel carb.)
