why does my truck cut off when i let off the gas for a second and hit the brakes or let off for a while

i replaced fuel filter

  Didn't say any more than cuts off.. I'm guessing you mean it'd dying and I'd recommenda throttle body cleaning.. taking it to a free diag check place may have a code set which normally leads to a update of the pcm and possible throttle body replacement.. but the cleaning is the cheapest out

  is throttle body right there on top of the motor
