Transmission replacement

I need to have my transmission replaced (old one failed) with a remanufactured 4L60E. Are there any upgrades or specific requests I should make of the shop?

  Shop for the repair shop which has the best reputation and best warranty. Try the many on-line auto parts sources, such as; www.autopartswarehouse.com or www.rockauto.com for the replacement parts. For example, they (RockAuto) list the rebuilt 4L60E transmission from around $1375.00 (minus core exchange).
