2000 Nissan Maxima GLE 6Cyl3.0L - Preventive Maintenance
the temp gauge keeps spiking up to hot when the engine is cold
i have replace the temp gauge switch w/gauge and the water pump, thermostat and head gasket, radiator just about everything that could be fix i have done it. I just need to know whats left to replace to fix this problem or can i put a aftermarket temp gauge on it

    Could Be thermostat in backwards(spring coil faces toward engine block) or simply an air pocket inside engine block not allowing coolant to flow,heat up to open thermostat. Look for an air bleed screw near thermostat housing or follow recommended cooling system air purging procedure.
