Sunroof tips up, but will not slide back. Has anyone had this problem?

  Can you hear the slides moving when it tries to go back or does it just freeze? Have an 01 blazer and had to take out the sunroof and rebuild it in order to get it working again. The hardware and slides cracked and it would no longer slide back or close properly.
