2004 Ford F-150 XLT 8Cyl4.6L - Engine
When stopped while in gear the truck will idle up and down then die. What is the most likely cause?
Idle sensor has been changed. Did not fix issue.

    Are you getting any codes? This is an uncommon problem and probably has to do with the engine management system. I would test drive it with a scan tool attached to see what the sensors are reading at the time of the malfunction. It could be as simple as a bad sensor (MAF/MAP), a vacuum leak, or as severe as a faulty torque converter.
