  Sounds like your power steering is not working. First thing to do is to check your power steering fluid level. If this is low, then get the right power steering fluid and add to the full line. If it is way low, you may need to add more after the engine runs for a while. If the fluid level is fine, then check to see if the pump is working. With the engine running, look into the fluid reservoir and look for any fluid movement. If the fluid is moving, then the pump is probably working and the problem probably lies with the steering rack.
