2000 Volkswagen Jetta GLS 6Cyl2.8L - Engine
Why do you show 3.0 hours to replace a water pump on this vehicle and AllData shows 4.6?

    There are always at least 2 or more labor times
    1 The vw dealer under like a factory recall .a mechanic that has done this job 2 or 3 times can do it in the 3 hour with the special tools
    2 the second one is the actual time it takes the mechanic to do the once

    All data shows 4.6 yes, Mit chell shows 3.1 and yes, that is the way this business is. This water pump if I did it would be billed at 3.8 hours just because of that. But, remember, these labor times are a guide, they are not engraved in stone.
