CVO 10/15/2012See this Stoplight Switch
For your 2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser 2.4L SFI DOHC 4cyl
http://www.autozone.com/.../N-jtv89Z9cias
Stoplight switch directs current to the stop lights, cruise control, and shift interlock to turn them on or off
When not replaced, stop lights will run continually or not function, potentially causing premature bulb failure, safety issues and/or the transmission will not shift out of park
wind1 10/16/2012thank you for your feed back i will it out and let you know what I find out tyvm
wind1 10/18/2012ok here's the deal stop lights work but my back up lights do not its is out of park but when turning the ignition on there is absolutely nothing -
JustAGirl 10/16/2012Try starting in Neutral. Check to make sure you have brake lights when applying the brakes (brake switch could be failed) This is Chryslers listed part number #4659676AC for the neutral safety switch, sometimes called a range switch. It would be listed under transmission sensors.
wind1 10/16/2012still won't start in neutral i will ck the brake light tyvm for your feedback wll also let you know how it comes out
