Every 5000 is perfectly fine. There seems to be the prevailing belief that it must be done every 3000. Not true at all. As a matter of fact, many vehicles have an oil life % remaining indicator and the mileage traveled on average runs around 5000, sometimes more.

    Something is draining my battery.
If I don't run my car every day, my battery is drained and needs to be recharged. If it has not been started for 2 days it has to be recharged before it will start. I have replaced the battery 4 times while having this problem, so something else is the cause. Help!

Get an AmpMeter and connect it in series with you battery Positive post and it will show an amp reading of what power is being drawn from you battery.
Remove you fuses from the Fuse Box, 1 at a time until the Amp reading falls off. That will identify what is causing your battery to die. Any shop should be able to help you do this test. Can be a shorted wire or shorted computer input module, ect.
