3/24/2011 HouseCallAutoWhy did you replace the fuel pump? Is there ignition spark? What fault codes are stored in the computer? Can you buy a code reader for $50 and read them if you do not already know the codes? How did it become a no start? Were you driving and it stalled out or what. I want every detail that you know. Just ramble if you have to. Then I can help.

3/19/2011 jlofwashno you dont, but be sure to gap your plugs, and label which wires go where . its very easy to forget where they came from, ever with just 4 cylinders. and dont move the distributor.

burning smell of oil.....check for oil leaks around your valve cover
You're leaking oil onto your exhaust, and the oil is cooking on the hot pipe. Since your heater draws in its air from the from of the car, it's pulling in some of the stink from the burnt oil.

4/14/2010 1910jdlhow do you know the belt is fine. Ive seen perfectaly good looking belts break , YES you should do the belt and the tensioner pulley . hope this helps -
2/27/2011 01NBtrickedYes you ALWAYS replace the timing belt when you put a water pump in, you HAVE to do it, or you will have problems

2/27/2011 01NBtrickedI have no idea where you got this idea from, but I can help you with the lock light for the passenger door...There isn't one, it only exists on the driver side door to deter thieves, to let them understand that the security and immobilizer system is activated. The driver window is not supposed to go down when the the door is open, this doesn't happen on any car anywhere in the world

2/24/2011 HPI VorzaWell have you checked the fuse? Remove the cover panel from the fuse box located behind the radiator. Locate the fuse labeled "Tail Lamp." If the fuse is broken, it will have to be replaced. A fuse is broken if the metal piece inside the fuse is damaged.

2/21/2011 RobertoTry not to pay more than 900? If your car has less that 100 K It might be cover under guarantee It was extended for several cars Jetta. I had mine replace by the dealer when my car had 99 k For free in the dealer.
