Remote hatch locks delayedJohn V - 2001 Volkswagen Golf - Body & Interior - 9/23/2012When using remote to unlock hatch it functions normal. When locking vehicle, all locks work normal, except for the hatch Which locks with a delay and then beeps. Sometimes this takes a couple of minutes.

How do you remove the heater blower fan from a 2001 VW Beetle?Kurt - 2001 Volkswagen Beetle - Body & Interior - 9/21/2012My service manual says there are three screws to remove the blower fan cover. However, when I opened up the dash, there is not any screws to remove the blower cover.-
9/21/2012 CVOThere are three different instructions to remove the blower. Select the best fit for this vehicle.
A.Remove the negative battery cable.
Detach the connector from the wiring leading to the blower motor.
Remove the five attaching screws from the blower motor.
To remove the blower motor, pull it downward.
Installation is the reverse of removal.
B. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Remove the passenger's side glove box and if equipped, the lower knee bar.
Disconnect the blower motor electrical connector.
Remove the mounting clamp.
Remove the self-tapping screws securing the blower motor to the housing.
Carefully lower the blower motor to remove it from the housing.
Installation is in reverse order of removal.
C. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
Remove the screws and disengage the clips securing the passenger-s side lower footwell panel, then remove the panel.
Remove the screws securing the blower motor assembly.
Lower the assembly, then detach the electrical connection.
Installation is the reverse of removal.

9/12/2012 rickMaybe motor died . Take door apart again , unplug the motor and use 2 small wires and jump the motor with 12 volts . +and- one way motor goes up , turn + and - and motor goes down . See what happens .

9/3/2012 Lionelthe air filter is under the passenger side of the dash there is a flap that u pull down .the filter is up there .it just pulls out by pull it down ward . good luck
