Yes u can but it takes about two hours.Just installed regulator kit on my vw. door pull handle has two screws and two more at the very bottom of door panel then pry off the interior panel around the edges. The regulator has about ten screws with a small hex screw head to remove. The regulator panel will stillfeel stuck because u have to manually pry the caulk from the edge of the regulator all the way around one screw on each bracket will release the glass the screws need to be aligned with the two holes covered by rubber plugs. Be sure to bolt the regulator to the door before re screwing the brackets back to the glass. The wire harness to the motor has a bracket type lock on top that needs to be pryed up to release it.Good luck and Godspeed.

Hey, just wanted to see if you had any luck doing this. I am trying to do the same job and have gotten everything off except I can not remove the electrical connector that goes to the power lock module. Just wondering if you found any special trick to removing this connector? Any advice would be appreciated.

Either the window regulator is broken or the glass has separated from the regulator. VW has issued several Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) for this condition as this is a pattern failure, with glass separation being most common. If indeed the glass is found to be separated from the regulator, perform TSB 6408-06 service operation to BOTH front doors, even if one is still working. A copy of this TSB can be found all over the internet.

I'm quite certain you don't her the clicking sound when you open the fuel door, then its the switch, BUT if you can hear the click but it still won open then its the actuator

should be a pull ring inside the trunk, under the trunk linning to release the fuel cap cover.

smoke coming from your vents can be a couple of different problems a leaking heater core ( are you smelling anything inside the car ? ) there could also be a problem with your A/C system (receiver dryer) is it happening when the A/C is on ? more info is needed to narrow down your problem

Have you looked down on your driver's door for a release switch? That's where it is on my Jetta.
