12/10/2011 JimmSeveral possibilities; the first task - easiest and least expensive - is to lubricate the window channels or vertical guides. You'll need to remove the door panel to gain access - even to check the window motor, regulator and switch - so you may as well try a small amount of lubricant on the window guides first.

12/2/2011 Spoon SportsCan you hear the motor working when you push the button to go up or down? If you do not hear it, then it is most likely a wire disconnected at the switch, or a broken wire.
If you can hear the motor, then the gear which is usually made of nylon has stripped out and will no longer raise the window. If you can get ahold of the top of the window at all, have a friend or someone else pull up on it while you push the up button. You can frequently get a window up this way. Once you get it up, use some duct tape along the edge to the metal, and not your upholstery to hold it up. The adhesive can be cleaned off the metal door, but not off of the upholstery as a band aid solution till you get it fixed

Hit a guard rail and knocked off the front right wheel arm and all. 12/2/2011 Spoon SportsDamn, thats a hard hit...ANyway, unfortunately i dont think this is possible with new beetles. All of the body swaps i found was for older models, the internal parts, YES but the body itself i doubt it. Even if you were able to pull it off, it will be more expensive than starting from Square 1

11/25/2011 JimmYou can access the trunk and open from the inside through the rear seat. Once the trunk is open you can remove and service / fix or replace the trunk lock or latch.

11/20/2011 JimmTypically, this indicates the a/c evaporator drain tube or hose is clogged / plugged. Try to clean out the drain hose using a length of hanger wire.
11/20/2011 JimThank you, I will look at it. However, I think there is just too much water (about one inch in the back seat floor) for the a/c evaporator to be of issue. Also, the water problem occurred while the car was parked for several days and after a good rain.
