Loud exhaust-like sound in all conditions while accelerating from any speed

The number of exhaust type noises are low and far in between. Does the “exhaust type” sound only occur while driving or is it present while stopped and idling? Items to check if the noise is only present while driving. While driving in a safe area, with NO on coming traffic, try turning the steering wheel from right to left. Does the noise change with direction? If so, it's possible you have a defective wheel bearing. Worn wheel bearings and “feathered” tires have the same type of noise. A feathered tire is most noticeable on the outer edge, while rubbing from front to back, the tire will not be smooth. Hope this helps, if not please respond and I'll think more on the issue. If the tires are feathered the sound will not change with direction of vehicle, but it will sound rocket ship taking off.

The loud exhaust sound increases in volume each time the car is accelerated whether in neutral or in drive toward any direction. The wheel bearings are fine and 4 new tires were installed recently. This overall sound 's volume has gradually increased over the past several months. It should be noted that the servicing dealership has refused to either contact a "traveling Toyota technician" or any senior level Toyota personnel. Fortunately, we acquired the best Toyota warranty offered.

I have an loud "whirrring" noise in the rear.Does not stop if I put transmission in neutral.
The noise is louder with increased speed. Tires have tread and no abnormal wear Could this be something in the rear transfer case or a rear wheel bearing?

When the new axles were replaced, were the axle seals replaced? If not, fluid could leak out. In your vehicle, t differential and transmission are ran using th same fluid. Check under the vehicle for any leaks. If your vehicle is an automatic and you are low on fluid; then your car will not operate properly. Automatic transmission fluid is the medium used to transmit power in automatic transmissions

So if fluid is the problem, will my car be fine after fluid is replaced ?

I'm not guaranteeing that the fluid is low. But it is a possibility.

Are you sure it's not just your rear brakes giving you a slight amount of lockup? Sounds like something back there might be slipping when you accelerate. Yes your vehicle is strictly front wheel drive only.
