How to dismantle inner tie rodgavin Ryan - 1988 Toyota Cressida - Steering & Suspension - 6/17/2012-
6/17/2012 CVOOperation: The inner tie rod ends connect the rack to the tie rods. Advice: The inner tie rod ends are attached to the rack in a variety of different ways depending on the year make and model of the vehicle. Check the repair guides for the vehicle that you are working on. When working with rack and pinion steering, in most cases it is best to disconnect the outer tie rod ends and remove the rack with the tie rods attached as a unit. It is easier to get to the inner tie rod ends after the rack has been removed from the vehicle. Also with the rack laid out on a bench, it makes measuring for tie rod end positioning easier. Recommendations: Repair guides

6/16/2012 CVOExcessive white smoke may come from a head blown gasket.
Obtain a compression tester ( loan free from Autozone or O'Reilly ), do a compression test in all 4 cylinders. A same compression readings in the adjacent cylinders #2 & #3 are the results of a head blown gasket.
Note: a small white smoke amount at cold is insignificant.

I have a 2009 Toyota corolla The steering wheel lock up and the key won't turn I try to jiggle the wheel and no successsomeone - 2009 Toyota Corolla - Steering & Suspension - 6/5/2012I try everything to make it unlock But it won't success-
6/5/2012 gYou steering should only be locked in one direction. Turn and hold the wheel in the other direction (this may be hard to do since your power steering pump is off), your key should move now, and turn the car on. Once the car is on, the wheel should unlock. I hope this works. Good luck.
