Car when being driven creaks like I am laying on a bed with an old box spring
I have 150,000 miles on the car & drive 12 miles daily - I have taken good care of this car - the car runs great and stops great & it doesn't sound like a bad muffler - is the car OK to drive? Is it just old?

Need more information - where is the sound coming from - the interior or exterior? Is the sound noticed during driving at certain speeds, certain road conditions?

Too many possibilities to list from the limited detail provided. Please post a reply with added description of when the sound occurs - for further assistance.

Hi Jimm - thanks for responding - it is definitley outside and it seems to be from the rear of the car - it use to just make the sound when I turned right but now it is just always making the sound as I drive - when I park and lean on the trunk of the car and bounce it up and down - it makes the same sound

OK - next step is to check the exact source of the noise. Need a helper to bounce the rear of the vehicle up and down on the trunk as you have stated - while parked - at the same time someone is underneath to listen and perform an inspection.

Several possibilities; worn / squeaking suspension bushing, squeaking / worn strut mount bushing (upper or lower position). Try a silicone aerosol spray to the offending bushings to temporarily lubricate and quiet - prior to the replacement work.

i would start at the temp sender on the engine check the ohms the check it as the engine warms up . the ohms should change smoothly as the engine warms. if it is good google a wire schematic and diagram on coolant temp and gauge power.

    Fuel filter replacement or maintenance
when should the fuel filter be replaced?

Your fuel filter is part of your routine maintenance on your vehicle and you should replace it every time you perform a tune up. You should always follow your manufacturer's guidelines for when you should perform a tune up, but it's generally every 2 years or 30,000 miles. If you're driving in extreme conditions then this will obviously be shorter. A clogged fuel filter will restrict fuel delivery to your engine and will make your fuel pump work harder, which will make it fail after a long enough period of time. Compared to a fuel pump, fuel filters are relatively cheap and the pros far outweigh the cons.

The parts are readily available from these many on-line sources, www.partsgeek.com, www.rockauto.com, www.discountautoparts.com, www.autopartswarehouse.com, www.jcwhitney.com - to list only a few possibilities.
In fact, they (RockAuto) list the fuel pump filter from around $19.70 for your vehicle. Keep in mind, the fuel pump filter is located inside the fuel tank on your vehicle - and there is no other fuel system filter for replacement.

I have no idea about the cost? A lot of dealerships have multi point inspections for free. Talk to your local dealership/service department.

Outside temp reading stopped. Now sometimes shows negative temp turning AC warm unless on coldest setting.
My car stopped telling me the outside temp on the dash over a year ago. Every blue moon the temp pops up as -22 or another negative temp and immediately turns my AC warm unless it's on COLD which is the lowest setting. It usually corrects itself once I've turn the ...

It's probably around. 2 hours, and that includes evacuation and recharge. Make sure that the ac system is placed under vacuum for at least 30 minutes. If it cannot hold vacuum (29 inches) for at least ten minutes, you have a leak somewhere. Fix the leak, try again, then add the correct weight of refrigerant and compatible oil for your system.

Just looked up the Labor times for this.

      - Compressor: 1.2 hours
      - Evacuate and recharge: 1.4 hours
