    When i start off pushing on the gas changes then before it gets done going through the apm go up and have to let off gas
    had another trans put in doing the same thing drives good for some time and starts it over I already put a mother board in a few years ago not sure if it the tps or a vc line

    What's wrong with my tranny when I go more than 60-70mph it feels shaking and when I make a turn it's hard not smooth?

      Don't know abot your Impreza, but my Outback's problem was the tie rod end. Once repaired, problem disappeared.

      I had the same troubles with my '99 Suby Legacy wagon. I have had a rough grinding when I turn sharp (like into a parking space). I had all the CV joints replaced ( which could possibly be the problem), but, for me, this did not solve the problem. I found, finally, that my problem was the AWD transfer case, which is part of the Subaru transmission.

    Squeaking sound
    The car makes a squeaking sound (intermittent) at speeds between 0-20mph. Initially I thought it was the brakes, but it makes the noise without the brakes applied. Any ideas?

    Have all wheel drive ,when driving seems car is stalling happens at all speeds,
    when driving it will run good for few miles then start acting like its going to stall then runs fine for few more miles then happens again it ,doesn't stall completely

    Why won't my car shift out of park? This ussually happens after the care has not been driven overnight.
    If you over ride the shift it will come out of park and into gear but otherwise you can't even push in the button to shift. Also the shifter will slide between gears once out of park without pusking in the button didn't think it was supposed to do this if it is ...

      To replace a clutch it will probably cost you around $140-$190. It really depends on what kind of car it is.

      Use " Find a Shop" tab above and make a couple of phone calls or use negotiator and they will do the calling for you.

    Slow acceleration after shifting,

    Why Does my Subaru Legacy rev but not speed up when I press on the gas?

      Nice car chief. Thank God you dont own an automatic, its a waste of the Impreza's abilities.
      Try bleed the clutch system and grease the clutch slave cylinder ball area that meets the transmission fork.

      it basically slips as soon as you accelerate, the clutch is stiff and it doesn't feel like its engaging, coming to a stop it just took a dump.

      In my experience, a clutch slipping is a sign that you need to replace the clutch parts (pressure plate, clutch disc, throwout bearing).

      However, for the stiffness, it sounds to me as though you have dislodged the clutch arm of the ball pin inside the gearbox this means its not pushing your thrust bearing properly it can be put back in place by jacking the car up and pull the rubber back look inside the bell housing of the gearbox and you can see where it needs to be

      I will definitely give it a try and let you know, hopefully it's that simple. and the reservoir seems to be moving a lot more than it should when you press the clutch in, its basically a creaking noise.

      750 good , slipping bad. Means transmission is wearing out. You could try some additive like no-slip to see if helps and to diagnose. Not a cure though. Could be ready for a rebuild.

    Sometimes my car looses power when i turn
    when i turn my car looses power and sounds like it wants to die. it has never actually died jsut sounds sluggish. when this happens if i put it into park and turn my car off there is a klunk noise and my car rolls back slightly.

      test your power steering switch when u turn the swith tells the computer adjust throttle air fuel ratio if the switch is bad its not telling the computer the right signals

    When ordering a Clutch Kit, is there additional parts i should purchase?
    I am needing to replace the clutch in my justy, along with the clutch replacement is there anything else i should replace that coinside with the clutch? or that should be replaced while i am in there and have things apart?

      The clutch kit will usually come with; the clutch friction disc, the clutch throwout bearing, a new clutch pressure plate assembly, and the clutch alignment tool - everything should be included in the kit.

      Take a look underneath your car, if you see any wet spots or stains on the ground, then something is leaking. Any sort of leak is a sign that something not good is going on, but if the stain is red in color, then the leak is most likely coming from your transmission. If it is only a few drops, then you have some time before you should have it checked, it is not urgent right now, but it could become a major problem.

      Even if you have not noticed a leak under the car, if you do notice that your fluid levels have dropped, then by all means, check them. The transmission fluid should be a translucent red color, if it has a cloudy or muddy color, or has a burnt smell to it, that means that the fluid needs to be changed.

      If you feel vibrations when you are shifting gears, or if the car seems to stutter and drag through a gear shift, this is a clear sign of trouble. The problem could be something minor, like you are low on fluid, or it could be more serious, like damaged transmission cables.

      Your transmission should be able to run smoothly and in relative silence. Any sort of whiny or grinding noise that seems to be coming from under the floorboards, is a severe cause for concern. This could indicate that there is a problem with the gears, or with the valves.

      An overheating transmission is the worst hint that you can encounter, because at this point, it means that your car has already shown you all the other hints, and you either missed them completely, or did not know what they meant. Overheating is a clear sign of quite a few potential problems. From a solenoid that is damaged, to a restriction in the oil cooler. The only option left to you by the time this occurs, is to take your car in to be serviced.
