    Rear axle noise and vibration
Drives fine at speed and with moderate turns but there is a rear axle noise, grind, vibration when turning sharp. Happens with very sharp turns as in parking or backing and turning around situations.

Several possibilities; faulty / worn rear axle / outer hub bearing, worn rear wheel bearing. Try these sources; www.partsgeek.com, www.rockauto.com, www.discountautoparts.com - to list only a few possibilities.
In fact, they (RockAuto) list the rear hub assembly and / or rear wheel bearing from around $36.00 to around $43.00 each - for your vehicle. Be sure to replace the rear axle bearings / hub subassemblies in pairs (both sides at the same time) - due to mileage, wear / age considerations.

    Rear axle noise, grind, vibration

Yes there are issues with this that you describe but the diagnostics gets too deep for a DIY person to get through. Has to do with the transmission and clutch packs. Very complicated. Anytime the vehicle goes into any kind of turn the left side and right side tire rotational speeds have to change and when they can't because something is binding and won't let it "slip" you get the noise that you detail.

AWD questions Jacked up car all tires spin
On snow covered roads Subby sits and spins the RF wheel not other tire spins. Any ideas why it doesn't transfer power to other wheels? Again on jack stand all tires spin... Thanks

Just replaced trans filter, how much fluid does this trans take
Orieley's told me it takes 2.64 qts, I put 3 qts in and still not showing on the dipstic?

Same refill amount = 2.6 quarts - for the transmission service (fluid and filter change). The actual amount of the refill would depend on how much was drained out (obviously) and how low the fluid level was to begin with.
Given the transmission dipstick level is accurate - and the vehicle is parked on level ground, then simply add small amounts of the correct fluid type to refill to the proper level - as indicated on the dipstick.

      Hello
Without being able to hear it myself I would start by checking the alternator for excessive bearing noise, or the power steering pump fluid level and for excessive noise as well.
      Hope this helps ;)

The first check is the transmission fluid level and condition.

Car doesn't seem to want to shift into high gear. Can get it up to about 40 mph, but the engine is revving very high.
Milage 150,000 This just started in the last week. Recently had work done to replace the pulley the crank shaft is attached to that drives the alternator and A/C.
