Hi Bill this is a forum for helping people with problems with thier vehicle, its not for answering questions for part inquiries, the people out here answering are users like yourself, i think you want to cotact the customer service for the site you found the part on. If you saw this whe you were on this site if you click the link to the part it brings you to the site that is selling the part. AutoMD doesn't sell parts it points ou in the direction to get the right part for your vehicle

No worry unless the check engine light is on. The EVAP system places the fuel system in a vacuum. If the pressures are incorrect the check engine light will come on and there will be a trouble code stored. Check for codes with a code reader yourself.

Will a transmission leak cause loss of power?
it has transmission leak in a cooling hose the motor is rebuilt and every now and then it throws a transmission senser code

what transmission code is it? or do you know what sensor it is saying? How bad is the leak and when you say loss of power need to know more of what you mean. A loss of power is usually an engine symptom if it feels liek the engine doesn't kick in when you push the gas that is an engine problem, if it feels more like a slipping meaning the rpms go up but the car doesn't move faster then it is more transmission related.

transmission sensor code. sorry. it acts like its tied to a tree when going up a hill and sometimes on flat. the engine seems fine at idle and it acts like its trying to go but it acts bogged down. other then that when it feels like running it runs great. the leak is moderate on a normal trip it will use about a quirt to a quirt and a half. the motor is rebuilt if it is a motor issue what should i look for first? I am good with working on cars and it has me confused. THANK YOU FOR ANY HELP!!!

There is a jerking action with sharp turn of steering wheel.
If adding fluid to the differential doesn't fix the problem will that mean it is a transmission problem?

sounds like internal transmission failure did you let it go with low fluid for a while?

when i bought the car in july,i checked the fluid level and it was full and the fluid was clean.so i don't know if the previous owner let the fluid get low before he filled it again.

hi, this svx is a 4-speed auto. with the manual option.like i said before,it won't shift beyond first or second.could be the trans. computer but i'm only guessing.just want to have some idea what the problem is before i have the car towed to the nearest trans. shop(25mls.). thanks bobby.....

if you could get your hands on a scanner you might be able to get a code from it for the transmission. That would help point you in the right direction but without being with the vehicle internal trans issues are very difficult to diagnose. This could be a problem with the transmission valves, torque converter or bands

thanks alot bobby.you've been very helpful.i'll see if i can get my hands on a scanner.

Check the wiring/connectors in your tranny it is possible that when your replaced your fluid and filter you accidentally disconnect it.

I replaced my clutch. The mechanic said I will need a new servo. Now the car will not move. Is the servo bad?

    • yboy82
      8/18/2010 yboy82
Before you replaced your clutch is car moving? You should diagnose your vehicle with a scan tool to know the stored trouble code (if your servo is defective it will show up) and to point you to the right direction in fixing your car. You can also consult another mechanic for second opinion before you decide to replace anything.

Thanks. My son-in-law drove the car for a year after the clutch was replaced. He drove it with a bad axle. Is it the servo or because the axle is bad?
      yboy82
      8/18/2010 barry&janet
Thanks again! OK, now that I know what the servo is, I don't think that is the problem. It is a manual transmission. My wife had this car for 4 years before we had to replace the clutch. I can't believe a clutch will wear out after 1 year! If the axle is broken, will this cause the car to not move?
    • barry&janet
      8/18/2010 barry&janet
Let me clarify a little bit. The clutch was replaced last year. My son-in-law drove it with a bad axle. I think the axle is broken now. The car starts fine, but if you put it in gear it will not move. I guess my question really is, if I replace the axle will this solve my problem. Or do I also have to check the servo (I don't know what a servo is). The car is in another state right now. I would like to go get it and bring it home for my mechanic to look at it. But if I replace the axle, which is easy to do, do you think I can drive it?
    • yboy82
      8/18/2010 yboy82
Your servo is located under your hood it is also called intake air control (it is in your throttle body) and your axle is located underneath your vehicle, so I don’t think that if you change your axle it will solve the problem with your servo. It is possible that your clutch (disc or release fork or other clutch component if it is manual but if it is an automatic check the component of your torque converter) is failing because you can’t move to any gear.

And your shifting lever is connected to your transmission (which include the clutch which is located between your engine and your transmission *if you have a manual transmission*). It is possible that your clutch is worn since it was replaced last year.
    • yboy82
      8/18/2010 yboy82
If you have an automatic transmission you should diagnose it with a scan tool to see if there is a stored trouble code in your vehicle (it will show if one of your electronic component (e.g. electromagnetic clutch brush, electronic clutch control) is defective and not working that’s why you can’t go to any gear.
    • yboy82
      8/18/2010 yboy82
Clutch will wear varies on the use of the vehicle, the make of the clutch, drivers habit (how he drives or the mileage he drove everyday) and other the conditions. Yeah it is possible that you car won’t move if one of your drive live is broken.

But you’ve mentioned that the vehicle can’t be put to any gear (it is possible that your gearshift mechanism is defective) right? It is possible that it is the cause why your vehicle won’t move.
      yboy82
      8/18/2010 barry&janet
You can put it in any gear. It just will not move. I will have to call him and ask him if it even attempts to move. He is now telling me that the axle was broken (he did not know it!) and it punctured the tire. I am just wondering it the broken axle will cause it to not move.

Did you already check the condition and level of your transmission fluid? If you already did, it is possible that your clutch is slipping.
