10/6/2011 Spoon SportsSame problem as mine, annoying since its distracting seeing your self in your peripheral vision (not to the sides though but directly heheheheh)

Are there other headrests from make and model cars or trucks that I can use?steve dvorshak - 2011 Subaru Outback - Body & Interior - 9/9/2011Just bought a 2011 Subaru and Hate the headrests they are too hard and slanted forward too much. They measure 4and 3 quarter inches outside bar to bar-
9/9/2011 Spoon SportsThe only answer i can give you is trial and error for the fit, here is the thing though, will it be ok with you if the headrests color is different from the seat? The sales guy said it's called something like an "active headrest" and is made that way to reduce whiplash in an accident. So far the only solution I have found is to tilt the seat back some.
9/9/2011 Spoon SportsI read somewhere that you aren't supposed to relax your head on the headrest, it a safety feature not a creature comfort.

9/6/2011 yboy82I suggest that you should take your vehicle to the dealership. I think most of the parts of your vehicle are still under warranty. Ask for your warranty.

My parking lights now stay on all the time. Only be shut off pulling fuse.rrs - 1999 Subaru Forester - Body & Interior - 8/24/2011The front and rear parking lights stay on all the time. Have to pull 20 amp fuse (yellow) to get them off. I was told it was light switch. I replaced that and when reconnected they were still on. Now I am at a loss. The lights on dashboard are also affected.-
8/24/2011 jlofwashif and when you are ready for an OKIE fix , let me know , as if it were my car this is what i would do......(wire in a toggle switch) -
8/24/2011 MasterTechOn top of your steering column there is a switch that only activates your parking lights, flip the switch and the lights will go out. This is a common problem, the switch gets bumped on and drains the battery.

Why do heat & a/c turn off after 30 minutes or so?RRR - 2004 Subaru Outback - Body & Interior - 8/9/2011After about 30 minutes of steady (i.e. highway) driving, no air comes out of the vents. You can hear air, but nothing comes out of the vents. Happens with both heat and a/c. The mechanic can't duplicate (takes at least 30 minutes) so I haven't been able to fix. -

7/13/2011 JimmTry the 'How-To-Guides' feature this website for specific steps on how to replace the cabin air filter. The filter is usually accessed through the plastic cover near the cowling on the passenger side - just ahead of the windshield. Raise the windshield wiper arms out of the way to access the plastic vent covers. The covers are usually held by screws or plastic push pins - remove these -along with the vent covers. The cabin air filter is usually located below the hood weather strip (black rubber piece) that can be carefully pulled back. The filter housing can be pulled up to access the cabin air filter. Be sure to clean the filter housing before placing the new filter in position. The installation is the reverse of the removal.
