4/22/2012 CA_KirkIf manual - there is a little plastic part at the bottom of your handle inside next to you. Replace or fix in a diff. way.

4/12/2012 yboy82When is the last time that you replaced your transmission fluid and filter? It is possible that your transmission fluid is already deteriorating and/or your fuel filter is dirty/clogged.

3/15/2012 Spoon SportsMany of the Saturn L series automatic transmissions do not have a dipstick. They are the "new breed" of transmissions that are SUPPOSED to be trouble free. When you take it in to have the transmission serviced they will make sure it is filled and not leaking. Other than that, follow the instructions in the owners manual and have the transmission serviced (oil and filter changed) according to the schedule in the book.

The gears are tight but are not popping out of gear. -

2/14/2012 rickDon't think it had anything to do with the bleeding . The master cylinder was dry to start with . That shows it has been leaking . Fluid don't just disappear .

2/2/2012 CamarozenThen the cable will need to be replaced, which depending on how it connects into the transmission could be easy or difficult to replace. Many are accessable without removing the transmission from the vehicle, you will have to look at how it connects to the transmission.

2/2/2012 CamarozenYou may be able to find the cable at a local junk yard or auto parts store, I would search you-tube for a video if you like, however the repair manual (factory, haynes or chilton) will have step by step instructions for it, Most of the time on manual transaxles, the shifter cable is accessible from the rear of the transmission and is routed either through the firewall or under the vehicle. This service would be easier with a lift, but could be done with the vehicle up on jack stands.
