Your VIN indicates that the engine in your Saturn is a 1.9 twin cam engine as indicated by the "7" in the eighth position of the VIN. Beyond that you need to look at the RPO decal affixed to your car usually onrear floor of the trunk. Its a rectangular decal with a bunch of three digit codes for all Regular Production Options (RPO) and each code stands for what the car is built with - example ABS brakes, interior cloth or vinyl - emission system, etc etc.

Id go check the settings on the radio first maybe the bias or the balance of the speakers befire i think of something worse like a disconnection or busted speakers.

Oh yeah, tell me about it, the silence is deafening. Pull the radio, find the output leads and attach speakers to see if radio is problem or the amo has gone bad again. Most wiring diagrams dont show the speaker wiring, so you have to use commen sense on finding the speaker outputs, or check with a audio system installer. The only other option is ,you know the Dealer.

Why did headlights, low and high beams, on left side become less than half the normal brightness.
Car had been in an accident on left side 9 months ago and completly repaired. No problems until a couple of days ago. I replaced the low beam bulb with no change in brightness.

Check the fuse for the left headlamp. Make sure the blades of the fuse are not corroded and are nice and shiny along with where the fuse plugs in. Jiggle / wiggle the fuse while watching if the intensity of the headlight beam changes.

How do you retrofit a new blower motor into an '09 Saturn Aura?
Blower motor goes bad. Search the net. Find detailed instruction on removing bad motor--cut it out with a sharp knife! Primitive, but effective. However, I can find nothing on how to retain the new motor in the recently created cavern. Anyone know of a ...

    How to access window switches

    • Jimm
      12/19/2011 Jimm
The window switches are located in the door panels. Need to remove the door panels to access. First, remove the door handles. Next remove any screws upper and lower that may hold the door panel in place. Remove the door panels - usually starting from the bottom edge - use patience and light touch to pry the push pins loose - one at a time.

Where is the Passive Restriant Control Module (PRCM) located.
My passenger side seat belt moves slow and want lock.

      1. Locate the Passive Restraint Control Module (PRCM) under the removable console cover under the park brake lever.

      2. Tap test the PRCM.

      3. If the tracks respond, the PRCM is defective.

      4. Check for soda spilled on the module connectors.

My take on it is a headlight relay problem, Open the hood and locate the relay panel box. Unfasten the panel box and look on its underside for the relay diagram. You may need to use a screwdriver to open the panel, but in most models, it just pops off. However, don't use too much force, because it's plastic and can break.

My a/c cold air stopped working. I took it to my mechanic, and he found a/ clutch fuse blown. He tried 2 more and they
blew up. I took it to another mechanic, and without really checking, he suggested it might be the a/c clutch. The other mechanic said it was probably a wire or something of that nature. I don't want to be taken advantage of, so please help!

Unplug the compressor clutch, see if still blows the fuse? Then, if it still blows the fuse, I think it is in the wiring. If the fuse doesn't blow with the compressor/clutch disconnected, then I suspect the clutch. I haven't looked at your wiring, yet.

thanks jdl, that signs like a smart thing to do. The first mechanic said he didn;t have equipment to test and to take it someplace else, and then bring it back to him. Sounds a little lazy, don;t you think?

I need to add, there is an ac diode on that compressor circuit. If that diode is bad, it will let voltage go straight to ground. Be sure and ckeck or replace that diode.
