2007 Saturn Aura XR issue. Recently I have noticed that the lighted needles in the instrument cluster do not light up.
55500 Miles, no work done for this problem yet. It does not mater if it is day or night, if the lights are on manual or auto, or if the dimmer for the cluster is all the way up or down. All of the other instrument cluster lights and functions are working properly. ...

I do not think it is as simple as that. From what I understand the IPC is a vacuum fluorescent display, so there are no replaceable "bulbs". I do not want to go tearing into a vehicle, until I know what I am going to find. I am hoping this is something I can do myself without taking to a dealer. This is why I posed the original question.

Hi, I too own a 2007 Aura XR. I'm having the same issue that you did. What did you find out that it was? How'd you fix it? What was the cost?

      Thanks,
      Sandy

I own a 2001 Saturn SL1. After recently replacing the radio, I put the dashboard back on only to find it warped. After examination, none of the clips were broken. For some reason, there is a gap on the upper part of the dashboard. Nothing is broken, but I cannot ...

1Why does my 1996 Saturn's horn work intermittently? Auto has about 75,000 miles.
1996 Saturn SL2 horn works sometimes - works after turn right. Ordered in and installed new horn - problem the same. Could it be the clock spring? Cruise control stopped coming on some time before horn problem. I believe both are connected through the clock ...

Thanks for the response. I will mention these things to the fellow at the auto electric service shop - I am going to take the car in this Tuesday for them to check out. I was able to order in new horn buttons with wiring so i will leave them in case that is the problem. Thanks again!

Yes, the thicker key may cause problems with the ignition switch - may not function / be able to turn or get jammed inside the switch.

The dome light doesn't go on when driver's door is open, it works when passenger door is open.
The car has 120,000 miles + the radio stays on even after the ignition is off. Is the door switch bad?

Removing the radio itself is actually pretty easy. But to get to that point, you'll first have to remove some dash trim pieces. And there's usually a trick or two to getting those off without wrecking anything.
I recommend investing in two things: a set of special tools for trim removal and an online set of instructions geared specifically to your car. A set of the four most commonly used trim removal tools costs less than $16 online. It's worth every penny.

For help with the radio removal procedure for your vehicle, go to www.carstereohelp.com. This site sells complete radio and trim removal instructions (with photos) for over 4,000 different make/ model combinations. The removal instructions cost less than $10
