Maybe an issue with shift interlock mechanism? Any applicable trouble codes? There maybe a release for the shift interlock? I haven't looked at the database, yet.

First make sure the car is in park if that doesnt work try turning the steering wheel both ways sometimes this could be very hard

Clarify please. Is it the Speedometer or is it the Odometer or is it both that do not work?

Plug in a code reader and see that there is no fault code relating to the vehicle speed sensor, I believe the code # would be a P0500 then your cause is a bad instrument panel cluster. If the cause were the speed sensor the check engine light would probably be illuminated and you would notice that the transmission would not be shifting right also.

Sounds like you have a problem with the belt making noise. Tranny noise is not squealing

Do not spray ANYTHING on the belts, only exception is brake parts cleaner which will take grease off the rubber while the engine is idling. Those belt sprays make the belt worse.

sounds like the starter might be rubbing the inner starter wall. depending on how long it lastes. if few seconds probably starter if longer could be belt or belt pully bearing.

It's your power steering pump it's probably worn out or low on fluid or it could be a bearing in it.

I am having the same problem, but mine makes a groaning noise when i make a left turn and it sounds like its coming from the rear driver side. So we too replaced the bearings, axle, and our next step is to replace the ujoints. Pray this fixes the problem. If you found an answer would love to hear about it just in case this doesnt work.

You may have a safety switch where you have to press the brake it may have gone bad or your ignition switch also has a safety interlock that could have gone bad.

Depending on which tranny you have, it is either 9 or 11 quarts empty. If you mean just after dropping the tranny pan, about 4 or 5 quarts. Add 3 and check it, then another and then another as needed.

True, I agree with Flock3 but in the real world, there is little chance of a tranny shop doing just a front pump for 4 or 5 hundred. They do the unit for $1500 give or take.
