    Is there anything I can do to avoid buying a new ignition switch module with the key reader?
    My car starts once just fine, then after that I turn the key and it doesn't make a noise at all. Sometimes the security light pops on. It acts as if I'm trying to steal my own car. I have replaced the ignition key already.

      Nobody just knows the size, we place a set of all sizes next to us when we do things like that and trial and error to find the size. Thats the real world answer. If I had to guess I would say the size is an E10 or larger.

    My fuel gauge reads empty wen its full WHY
    it gose from full to empty and fuel light comes on

      The fuel sending unit located in the gas tank has a float and sensor that send the signal to the gas gauge. Usually the sensor or float are the problem but you will probably need to replace the sending unit. It usually comes as one hole piece

    The digital speed read out in the front windshield has stopped working?
    The in dash fuel remaining calculator and those accessories have also stopped working? The fuses seem to be fine. What to do?

      they all stop working at the same time?

      Check the relay panel see if there is a relay that controls power to them. if the relay is not the problem and the fuse is not, then you will proably have to pull out the dash cluster and test it to see if it is geting power and something is possible wrong there.

      1 Micro Relay = F/PMP SPD CONT ? Looks like the inst. panel numbers are changing they just won't light up in the dash?

      could be the dash cluster your going to have to get a wiring diagram and test the poer to it and check if the light circuit is woorking properly in the cluster

      If it is the heads up display on the window, it uses a LED back light for the digital display. If this LED fails there will be no display.

    How do I get the window crank off my door so i can pull off the door panel to fix the door latch?
    My driver door wont shut. The latch is broke. I need to replace it, but cant get the door panel off to replace it.

      take the screw out of the center of it..if it has one..then use a long flat blade screwdriver or butter knife and pry out on it all around evenly...put a rag or something between the blade and the door skin..so you don't scratch it up

    AC blowing hot and cold air?
    My Bonnie blows hot air on the driver side and blows cold on the front passenger side. The symptom occurs every time I turn on the AC. No warning lights. My car has 180,000 miles. I live in Texas, and It's a pain driving without the AC on, and I can't turn on ...

    My radio won't turn on. Why?
    My radio actually does turn on, but not when you tell it to. It's like it has a mind of it's own. It doesn't display the time or anything. Help please!

      This is what we call an intermittent condition. It can be caused by cold solder joints and loose connections of one kind or another inside the set itself. They usually require a trip to the shop where a tech can explore around inside looking for the culprit. They are often very difficult to find; sometimes very easy. Just really depends on what is causing it.

      Sometimes a whack on the chassis will correct it temporarily or even permanently sometimes. If you find it changes when you are on a rough or bumpy road that is a good sign the problem is a bad connection inside the unit.

      In the very worst case the set will need to be replaced. In the best case it may be a cold solder joint that requires a touch up with the iron to resolder the joint - like on the bottom of the printed board or at a connector. You would need a tech to do that most likely.

    THE GAS HANDS READS FULL BUT YOU CANNOT PUT IN ANY GAS SQUIRTS OUT

      you mean it is empty? if you are sure it is empty and there is no gas and it is squirting out then the ventilation for the gas tank is probably clogged. Otherwise if it is full and the hand is reading incorrectly then the problem could be the sensor in the tank.

      No, iT'S not full I can only put maybe 1gallon in at a time. then it starts to squirt out the hand reades about an eighth of an inch over full. I can pour nin the gas from a con tainer and it still spills out.

      The pump is shutting off because of back pressure. There are usually two lines going to the fuel pipe. The big pipe that the gas goes down and a smaller vent pipe that the air that is being displaced in the tank comes up. If this is blocked or is not working correctly , enough pressure can build up to shut off the nozzle of the gas pump. The gas nozzle thinks your tank is full.

      the evap system is probably blocked, this can be a blocked charcoal canister or something lodged in the piping somehwere. below is a link to avideo on this problem.

    Lost my keys, replaced the ignition key not the door key, now someone tried to steal my car, and it will not stay starte
    it starts, then stops before i can even put it in gear

      what happened when they tryed to steal car? did they damage the ignition? it may need to be replaced. Do you have insurance they should pay for damages due to theft

    What is wrong with my temperature gauge?
    My gauge says the car is running hot, but it isn't. Sometime the gauge bounces way over to the fuel gauge area.

      It seems that it is defective, or faulty wiring could be the cause. Better to check the wiring connections first before deciding to replace it.

    What could it be? getting tired of paying for stuff and it dosent fix the problem..

      Looks like you almost fixed all the possible causes of your vehicle’ problem. Did you already diagnose your vehicle with a scan tool to determine if your ABS wheel hub sensor is ok? When you’ve replace your wheel hub did you also check your ABS wheel hub sensor?

    I have not seen the problem myself. My mechanic says the header on the drivers side won't fit because it hits the steering shaft and knuckle which I don't see why because these are listed as Direct OE replacement parts. Aprox 91,000 miles on car and right header ...

    Cleaning catalytic converter or buying a new one?
    can I clean my catalytic converter versus changing and putting on a new one? my service engine light just came on and my mechanic says air flow is not going through the converter and it probably needs cleaned or a new one put on.....

      i've never heard of cleaning them?????????...besides i think if your the original owner...the catalyst is covered up to 100,000 miles...i'd do some research

      actually I meant putting a catalytic cleaner in the system to run through the converter so that it will clean it.....would this work to get it clean? kinda like using a carburetor cleaner in the gas tank.....

      catalytic converters are real touchy when it comes to dumping chemicals into them...if you think your converter is going bad...just get a univirsal converter...they are usually cheaper.

      your cable in the steering column near the ignition switch may need cleaned and lubricated. mine did that and I was told I needed a new cable from the gear shift to the ignition. I was also told that it could be adjusted but all it needed was cleaned and now it works fine. it was all gummed up with dirt and gunk and a mechanic disassembled it, cleaned it, lubricated it, and put it back together.....key comes out like new....
