Its not working anymore? Change the fuse even if the fuse still looks good.

Take a small flat head screw driver and gently bend the two prongs out a little bit. They are used to hold the lighter in place so that it will operate properly. If your lighter works with the key off remove the fuse first. As for replacing the lighter there are two wires connected on the back side you'll need to remove them.

On some lighters you will have to unscrew the outer body to remove the lighter others have a nut that has to be removed.

On other lighters you need to get it from the back , there is a clip securing them.

Had the same problem. First failure was when the cable from the window motor broke loose at the clip on the window regulator (the track thing the window glass is attached to). When this happens the window will go down on its own (gravity) and even if you pull it back up it won't stay. Second failure is when the cable broke loose the tension that kept it on the motor spool is lost and it jams the motor, possibly stopping it from turning. The entire assembly can be ordered online from autopartswarehouse.com for ~ $60.00. To check this and do the repair you have to remove the door panel. First, two screws behind two plastic plugs just under the arm rest. Then the edges of the panel pop out with some pressure on a screwdriver or trim removal tool inserted under the edges. slide the panel over the door handle and you will have access to the window motor and regulator.

This is a hard task that requires removing the dashboard. I recommend bringing it to an expert. You can use the "Find a Shop" feature of AutoMD for nearby shops in your area.

If you are able to remove the bulb, you can visually see the filament is broken or black spot in the bulb. You can consider also checking for electrical continuity to check if open circuit is present.

How to reinstall passenger front door window?
The window guide clips broke and I put new clips on the guide rails. I cannot get the window to go up or down. There seems to be a dragging sound when I try to raise or lower the window with the window switch. There is a small wire that runs behind the window guide. ...

That small wire is one of the cables that goes to the window motor. If you remove the guide rail (regulator) you will be able to see where the small disk on the end of the cable fits into the nylon slide on the rail. One bad possability is that when the cable came lose from the slide the tension was lost and the cable came out of the groves in the spool on the motor. When this happens it can jam the cable between the spool and the spool housing.

What have you done so far to fix the problem with your vehicle? Have you already diagnosed your vehicle with a scan tool to determine what stored trouble code in your vehicle is (if the fault is one of your electrical controls or sensors it will show in your trouble code)? The trouble code will help you find the fault to your vehicle’s problem. You can visit AutoZone or nearby auto parts store for free diagnostic.

If you remove the electric motor and then carefully remove the pully assembly that the two cables are wound around you could possibly change their positions.
