The shifter coming out of the steering column has been broken off how can i repair it what is the part calledcrystal - 2000 Plymouth Grand Voyager - Body & Interior - 9/15/2010-
9/15/2010 HouseCallAutoUs mechanics don't generally know before we take the column apart how to tell someone how to fix it. We just do it, we disassemble the column until we get it down far enough to see what we have to get to repair it. You need to go down to your local Chrysler - Jeep dealer parts dept just like we do and have them print the exploded view of the column and associated parts and pick what you need. There is no other way and nobody can explain to you how to fix it. This tedious type of disassembly is not able to be put into words. A repair manual may have the step by step but you have to check before buying the manual. The exploded view may help you decide how to take it apart.
