Replace front shocks or shocks and struts
Local Pep Boys is telling my wife to replace shocks and struts for $800. Is this normal? can we replace just the shocks?

that's not a bad price it can be more or half that price if you can do it yourself and you can just change shocks and use the old springs

I would skip the job and get another opinion. You may not even need them. They try to sell that to everyone.

Does this estimate seem reasonable to you I hit the corner of a concrete border in the road with left front tire
left fron strut bent ( $415) front left tie rod (inner/outer) $356 blown tire $191 alignment $110.00 $1072.00 total (Nissan dealer) Should I look for someplace else to do the work? This seems overpriced to me

Yes seems high to me too and it is possible that it is a bent tie rod OR a bent strut and my gut feeling says that there is a high probability of it NOT being both. One or the other. Estimates made after a front end strike are typically including multiple things in the area just for assurance of fixing it at the first try. If it were "their" own car you can bet they would scrutinize it to determine exactlyh what was bent and what was still good. Just sayin.....Been in this business 38 years.

Loud noise coming from rear gets louder at 40 mph +
120,000 miles, is this due to worn out struts and shocks?

Check the motor mount on that side, it might be broken and it's causing the vehicle to shake.

While driving down the road the steering wheel moves from left to right. There is no noise.

Rotate the tires front to back and see if the shaking goes away.

The steering wheel is too hard and the car makes whirring noise while turning.
The problem of car making a whirring sound happens In the morning or evening, when the engine is cold or it is not driven for about 8-10 hours, and I turn the car. Also I find the steering wheel is too hard. Please help.

Check the power steering fluid level.

Many thanks Mayor. I will certainly have it checked.

You cannot check the power steering fluid level on a 2010 Nissan Sentra because the power steering is operated by an all electric system that sets fault codes when something goes wrong. The first step to diagnosing the cause here is using a scanner that can read the power steering codes which you will not have access to. That being said, I'm sorry to say that this is NOT a DIY type job.

Many thanks. That means I will have to take it to the dealership. BTW, how long does it take to fix such problem.

How long is not the issue really. Probably one day repair.

Can I ask you one last question: Is it still OK to drive with this kind of situation or I should have the car checked immediately?

If you are not too uncomfortable with the tightness of the steering it won't hurt anything to drive like that for a time.

Steering wheel too hard and I hear whirring noise from wheels
Usually in the morning when the car is not driven for about 8-10 hours, and if I start the car and put it in reverse it makes a hard bang noise once and after that when I turn the wheel I hear whirring noise from the wheels and I feel the steering wheel is bit hard ...

Hard to say. Power steering fluid low maybe? That would then mean a leak someplace too.

I was told I need the steering lower joint assembly replaced and am wondering what this should cost.
The car has almost 100,000 miles on it. It makes an audible clunk or thud when turning the steering wheel. You can also feel the thud while turning. It started when only turning right, but has progressed to most turns and when straightening out the steering wheel. ...

The part Part # 48080-EM01A is a dealer only part and costs about $250, also referred to as an intermediate shaft. The labor time to replace it is roughly 2 hours so labor may be about $180 to $250 depending on shop hourly labor rate. Lookin at around a nickel total. There is a technical service bulletin about it so it is common to cause the noises you are hearing. The bulletin # is 09-127 and likely can be found as a pdf with a google search for this bulletin. I didn't try.

In order to get the best estimate cost of steering joint assembly, you should check out online inventories of auto parts stores. They have all sorts of stuffs with price ranges. One such of them is http://www.autopartsfair.com/exterior_parts

The back end of my truck is shaking while driving down, like u could loose it. What could be wrong?
You can see the back end of truck vibrating like it is loose while driving down road. Tires seem to be fine.

You should have the rear tires balanced. They may look fine but may be out of balance. Sounds like you may have a separated tire. It probably has a lump or bulge it can be seem by spinning the tire either on a balancer or jack stands. If tires are not the issue you should check the rear suspension.
