Why won't my tail, blinker or dashboard lights work anymore? Gas gauge does not indicate right fuel level.rvance689 - 2005 Nissan Sentra - Preventive Maintenance - 4/14/2013After fueling up gas gauge panel shows only 3/4 full. When I go up a hill it shows full and drops down to 1/4 full after a day driving.

4/14/2013 CVOThe fuel sender float is unstable and it send a wrong reading to the fuel gauge. Check it and replace it as necessary.

No fuel filter on this vehicle ?Ed - 2010 Nissan Xterra - Preventive Maintenance - 4/6/2013I wanted to replace the fuel filter for preventive maintenance but was told that there IS NONE - ? Can this be true? Why would Nissan produce a vehicle without this feature?

4/6/2013 JimmThis is true - no fuel filter on the 4.0L V6 engine. The in-tank fuel pump has a strainer built into - not a filter. As far as the second question - this would be a question for Nissan.
You can always an in-line filter to the flexible fuel lines - as a universal type - some owners have done this for added protection.

3/31/2013 ella1234Factory alarms don't have vibration sensitivity, they'll only go off if a door is opened or if the alarm isn't working correctly. So, if it's a factory alarm that's going off then something's wrong. This is often caused by your battery being very low and not being able to provide the alarm with enough power to function properly.

If you've got an aftermarket alarm it's probably that the vibration sensitivity is set too high. It's very easy to change, just find the brain (usually under the dash on the driver's side) and look for the dial on the side of it. Turn it up so it goes off when a fly lands on it or down so it doesn't even go off if it gets hit by a semi.

2/26/2013 HouseCallAutoOK, switch the bulbs left to right, and if the bulb still flickers, replace the High Intensity Discharge (HID) Control Unit. Probability is greater than 90%.

2/16/2013 BillCould Be thermostat in backwards(spring coil faces toward engine block) or simply an air pocket inside engine block not allowing coolant to flow,heat up to open thermostat. Look for an air bleed screw near thermostat housing or follow recommended cooling system air purging procedure.

2/12/2013 judymborokitry replacing the bulb. when a single light fails, a new bulb fixes the problem. if this does not work, then there could be a wiring problem on the tow vehicle.
