How to reset wheel warning light after snow & ice-cake has left the wheel well?
There seems to be no problem with wheels, tire pressure is good, no shimmy-shake to steering, so I just think the warning light came on with snow & ice build-up surrounding tires at one time during this bad winter. How do I reset the "wheel maintenance" warning light?

Several possibilities; weak / faulty battery, poor / faulty battery cable connections, faulty alternator / wiring / connections, faulty serpentine drive belt or belt tensioner. Have the battery and charging system tested - for free - at any local auto parts store. Post and reply and the results for further assistance.

First step - make sure the cooling system is full to the correct level with the recommended mixture of 50/50 anti-freeze and water.

Next step, make sure the cooling system is not blocked or obstructed. Then, make sure the heater controls and blower fan work. Check the fuses and relays for correct operation.

My Altima got a high gas mileage -12.5 L/100 km on highway driving. using premium gas 91-94 octane
Replace new tire, sparks plugs in 2012 New brakes and ceramic brakes pad, synthetic engine oil (Royal Purple ),and K& N air filter in Nov.2013. Still no improvement in gas mileage -Nissan specification 7.8 l/.100 km on highway

First step - have the stored fault codes or check engine light scanned - for free - at any local auto parts store; Advance Auto, Auto Zone, NAPA. Then, post a reply as 'add answer' with the specific code for more assistance. There may be a fault code stored in the OBD memory which may not be displayed as a check engine light.
The excess fuel consumption can be related to many potential issues; leaking fuel system, engine out-of-tune, faulty spark plugs / plug wires, clogged fuel or air filter, large vacuum leak at the engine, and so on.

Need to have the check engine light and OBD system scanned for any stored fault codes - this will help to pinpoint a particular problem and system to diagnose.

Check the fuel mileage ratings for your vehicle at; www.fueleconomy.gov.

if you are smelling coolant and seeing light smoke then there is no such thing as "no leak", small leak is there. Best way to find is to check with pressure tester when engine is overnight cold and has not been started even for a minute.

Accidentally put windshield fluid in engine coolant compartment.Removed fluid 1 wk. later. what else do I NEED to do?
Do I need to have the car looked at professionally, and what would they need to do, and how much would it cost?...If I just leave it be now, will it damage the car?The car has not shown any signs of anything being wrong. I used rain-X fluid. Does that make any ...

First question - when you state the fluid was removed 1 week later - does this refer to the coolant (anti-freeze) reservoir only? If yes, the the windshield fluid has already mixed inside the cooling system.
I would go ahead and drain the radiator and then simply refill the cooling system with the recommended mixture of anti-freeze and water at 50/50 ratio. This task is easily accomplished at home for least expense - just place a drain pan underneath the radiator and open the drain valve (petcock) - or if no drain on the radiator - simply remove the lower hose connection at the radiator.
From the description of the issue, there is no need for expensive system flushing.

It is likely that little or no fluid made it into the radiator out of the reservoir. Just empty the reservoir and a quick wash and reinstall and fill it to the max line with 50/50 mix of coolant and water.

Why is there a gas smell inside the car when starting car in A/C heater on?
I have a 2006 Nissan Altima 2.5 S with 111,000 miles on it. Lately, I smell sweet gasoline smell when I start the car engine with A/C heater on. I can smell it through the front A/C vent which stays for a couple of minutes and then fades away when I drive the car ...

I think you may have a small leak in the heater core and what you are smelling is ethylene glycol in the air (anti-freeze) kinda like a vicks vaporizer except with anti-freeze. Have someone rule this in or out as your cause of the smell.

Front passenger side low beam will not work (bulb and fuse replaced)
Hello, I have replaced the passenger side low beam bulb and the associated fuse. The bulb I replaced appeared ok; however the 15amp fuse was blown. I put new fuse in and tried lights - the new fuse fried. So I put 2nd new fuse in and tried lights again..2nd one ...

Check and see if the blue wire going to the low beam connector on pass side is grounded. Check it with headlight bulb not plugged in and with headlight switch off. This is the only thing that can cause the 15 amp pass side low beam headlamp fuse to burn open, unless the bulb you installed is internally shorted.

there are two wires going into my bulb..a red one that's at direct bottom of bulb and a grey or black one that's on a flange thing the bulb is in. Your thougts?

Yes I see . It was late. I looked at the driver side wiring. The pass side has a Red / Yellow wire and a black wire. Same thing as I said, just check the Red wire as I said instead of Blue.
