It sounds like you have to remove the blower motor for a visual inspection. There may be debris inside the blower wheel, or the blower motor bearing may have failed and is now causing noise. The blower motor is fairly easy to remove, usually held in place with three or four 7 or 8mm screws.

The factory set code cannot be reprogrammed but you can create your own 5 digit personal entry code. When pressing the controls on the keypad, press the middle of the controls to ensure a good activation.
Up to three personal entry codes may be programmed to the vehicle. To create your own personal entry code:
      1. Enter the factory set code.
      2. Within five seconds press the 1 / 2 on the keypad.
      3. Enter your personal 5-digit code. Each number must be entered within five seconds of each other.
      4. Press 1 / 2, 3 / 4 or 5 / 6 to indicate which of the three personal entry code positions you wish to use.
      5. The doors will again lock then unlock to confirm that your personal key code has been programmed to the module.

Do not set a code that uses five of the same number.
Do not use five numbers in sequential order.
The factory set code will work even if you have set your own personal code.
If you program a code to a position that already contains a set code, the previously-set code will be erased.
      Erasing personal code
      1. Enter the factory set 5 digit code.
      2. Within five seconds, press the 1 / 2 on the keypad and release.
      3. Press and hold the 1 / 2 for two seconds. This must be done within five seconds of completing Step 2.
All personal codes are now erased and only the factory set 5 digit code will work.

My headlight switch (mounted left side of dash) isn't turning on.
When I first start my car & turn my lights on the illumination for my headlights isn't visible. If I hit it a few times (the good ol fashioned American way) it will come on but seems dimmer than it should normally be.

It seems like a short ,loose connection or could be a head-light bulb going bad.I would shake the wires and see if anything changes and take out the head light bulb if it has a bulb and see if the filament looks flimsy. If it has sealed domes check the push-on connection.

    Power window does not work
I took the door panel off and got the motor out and the cable that runs the pulley, snapped. The pulley seems to be fine. Is this fixable and how can it be done. There is very little space to work.

If the window lift cable is broken, then the repair is replace the window regulator assembly itself - without the motor. For the replacement parts, try the many on-line parts sources, such as; or - to list only two. For example, they (RockAuto) list the window regulator assembly (without motor) from around $20.00 each for your vehicle. If the window lift motor is defective - then replace the entire window regulator assembly - with the motor - from around $47.00 each (same source).

In most cases the cause is a bad EATC module which is the controller in the dash with the buttons on it. Let me know if you think you are capable to do some pinpoint testing with the controller backed out of the dash to expose the vacuum hoses going to it and I can provide you with a step by step procedure to confirm this as your cause.

My battery will not stay charged & the dome light always stays on; it used to take a long time to click off after start
150k miles Dome light used to stay on a long time, and then click on and off after driving 4-5 minutes, then would finally stay off. Now it stays on all the time. The battery died and was replaced, which I thought was a separate item, but now it won't stay ...

The dome light staying on will kill your battery in a day or so. I assume your "door ajar" light stays on while you drive, rather common on Ford products. If that's the case you need someone to figure out which door is "staying open" and fix the door ajar switch for that door. Most common is left front door but it could be one of the others too.

What actually goes bad is the gear inside the motor ass'y. The plastic drive gear strips teeth usually, the motor still works though. This can be fixed by ordering a new gear kit such as this one >> A-1 CARDONE Part # 4296. Google this part # and brand name and you will find it at many online sites like under $10.
