The doors wont lock when I put car in drive. The door locks work all other ways.
All locks work fine with the remote or pushing the button. Suspect a bad relay but don't know where it is. Any ideas?

The A/C and Heater fan does not blow air at all. Why does this occur when the motor is good and there's power to it?
I've checked the fuses. I took the fan out and it runs from a battery. I tested the wire coming to the fan motor and it gets power and will range from 3 amps to 11 when the fan speed is adjusted on the dash. When the fan is turned on and off, a small noise ...

Do you have automatic temp control or manual? What color was the wire you checked for voltage? Coming off the battery should be high-speed, only.

The diagram is manual ac. Dark blue wire with light green tracer is voltage. The orange wire with black tracer is ground.
With this diagram, the function switch and resistors are on the ground circuit.

coming off of the battery was high speed only.
the chord that connects to the motor had one red wire and one black with wire with red stripes that would range from the 3 to 11.
there is both automatic and manual speed control for the fan.

Evidently my wiring diagram colors and the colors you mentioned don't match. So, red wire is voltage to blower motor and black wire with red tracer is ground? You might try a redundant ground, see if blower motor works?

I have seen faulty blower motors that would run intermittently.

The heating and air conditioning unit blow hot air when the fan is turned on.
As soon as the car is warmed up if the fan is turned on hot air.No matter what setting the controls are on.The car runs fine with the system off. But when any setting is selected, air , max air ,heat, or anything , the hot air begins.

Why would dome lights only come on when driver's is opened and by light switch?
I will be changing lcm in the near future. Would this problem be related to bad lcm? Thanks in advance

What you posted sounds normal to me. I don't see the problem? Most dome lights will come on when you open the door. Maybe I misunderstood?

Sorry, I probably did not explain properly. Dome lights ONLY come on when driver's door is opened. They do not come on when other doors are opened.

      Again thanks.

The lcm gets a signal from the door ajar switch to turn on the light. I hate to see you replace the lighting control module and then it still not work? There could be some applicable trouble codes on this system, B type codes. Some of the national brand auto stores will check codes for free. I just don't know if they will check B type codes?

Thanks for the information. The lcm has to be replaced anyhow. The main problem is the headlights (I understand this is typical for this vehicle). Lately Ihave been having many (unrelated?) electrical problems. I am hopeful that this lcm will cure many of them.

      Again thanks

    How to recharge a/c system
I replaced a leaky suction line, do I need to add PAG oil or will it still be in the compressor? The system was empty. I have 134A to recharge the system, should I invert the cans or tilt them back and forth?

You have to evacuate the air from the system before you add refrigerant. You cannot do this because you do not have the experience nor the vacuum pump and hoses with fittings.

Yes, replace the blend door actuator. Its under the glove box, take down the plastic cover under the dash and you will see it.

    The heat is always on
I've tried to change the heat to vent or Air Condition and nothing changes. I can hear the compressor come on when I switch the control to Air but I still get hot air. The air always comes out of the defrost vent and no where else no matter where I set it. There ...

Several possibilities; faulty heater control valve, faulty heater blend door actuator. I'd lean towards the heater control valve.

The parts are readily available from these many on-line sources, www.partsgeek.com, www.rockauto.com, www.discountautoparts.com, www.autopartswarehouse.com, www.jcwhitney.com - to list only a few possibilities. in fact, they (RockAuto) list the heater control valve from around $22.00 for your vehicle.

Drivers side window will roll down but not always up.
The voltage at the motor is a constant 12 volts both ways up or down, but the motor will not respond. So I replaced the motor. Didn't work, I figured that if the motor was getting 12 volts(had another door that got 12 down but 7 up and replaced the Master ...

Check the window travel - make sure the window guides are well lubricated - no binding. Check the window alignment during the travel - sometimes the regulator may be worn to allow the window to shift.

    Rear defroster does not work
The rear defroster does not work. When I check the fuse I found out that I do not have power going to this fuse in the fuse box. Someone told me that the power comes form a relay before it goes to the fuse box. I can't find a relay for this. Any other Ideas>

Confirm that fuse 104 (40 amp) is no blown and has battery voltage. this fuse is in the underhood fuse box. The rear defroster relay is located in this same fuse panel and is labeled C1099. Remove this relay and swap it with another relay that visually is the same from another place in the fuse panel (for example the relay labeled C1300 or C1011 might be the same relay) C1300 is the air suspension relay and C1011 is the blower relay..

If the rear defroster now works you are done - just buy a new relay. If it still does not work then update this post and I will give you more detailed circuit checks that go beyond this if you are able to follow those instructions by using a 12 volt test light for example.
