5/11/2012 JimmPossible Causes of Engine Hesitation or Stumble:
Dirty fuel injectors (cleaning the injectors often fixes this).
Bad MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor
Bad TPS (throttle position) sensor
Bad or dirty MAF (mass airflow) sensor
Low fuel pressure (leaky fuel pressure regulator or weak fuel pump)
Vacuum leaks (intake manifold, vacuum hoses, throttle body, EGR valve)
Bad gasoline (fuel contaminated with water or too much alcohol)
Sometimes, what feels like a hesitation is actually ignition misfire rather than lean misfire. The causes of ignition misfire may include:
Dirty or worn spark plugs
Bad plug wires
Weak ignition coil
Wet plug wires

Oil/grease leaking from rear of carShaun - 2005 Mercedes Benz G500 - Transmissions & Drivetrains - 4/13/2012My car seems to a have some leakage where the drive shaft enters the rear differential. I did crawl under the car and there is indeed a small abount of grease leaking in the area. Any suggestions as to the problem , urgency of repair , ande cost?? Thanks

3/30/2012 Spoon SportsIt could be something as simple as a pad anti rattle shim that has become displaced or damaged by a stone etc.
Can you feel it through the steering? Are all engine mounts in good condition? It's not the engine moving around when cornering & touching something?
You don't have Conti tyres with feathered & cupped shoulder tread do you? They can cause worn bearing type noises & you can generally feel some grumbling through the steering.
or it could be a worn CV joint.
