10/24/2011 yboy82If your vehicle is equipped with an automatic transmission, you should check if your brake light is working when you step on the brake pedal. Also check out this thread http://wiki.answers.com/.../..._is_stuck_in_park it might help you solve the problem in your vehicle.

10/22/2011 BillTransmission fluid and filter should be changed every 25K to 35K depending on manufacturers recommendation. This is generally found in the owners manual, and will tell type or fluid and capacity.

10/21/2011 CamarozenThe vehicle is probably in limp-home mode, where there is a serious fault in the electronics system and that fault needs to be corrected before the vehicle will perform normally. Have the vehicle scanned and faults fixed before atttempting to drive it any further to prevent excessive damage.

10/21/2011 CamarozenIs it an Auto or manual? Is this when you have the vehicle on jackstands? If the transmission functions normally while the vehicle is raised and the wheels are not on the ground, check to see which of the tires is spinning (both should be). If only one is, you may have a problem with the rear axle.

10/15/2011 JimmThe dipstick is located at the rear right of the engine bay and has a plastic cap with a locking pin that needs to be removed.
The workshop dipstick is pushed right in until it bottoms out on the sump and read the level off - there are 2 readings on the dipstick, a min and max for cold, and another for hot.

10/4/2011 HouseCallAutoThere is a fault code stored and the transmission is in what is called "limp home mode" . You may be able to plug in a code reader and maybe even erase the code, not sure if codes are inaccessible on MB transmission as I never work on them. Some cars you have to have the manufacturers software to gain access to review and / or erase fault codes.
