There are a lot of possible causes of it, like clogged radiator fins/radiator, faulty radiator fan, insufficient coolant level, faulty thermostat, defective water pump belt and etc. If possible diagnose your vehicle with a scan tool to determine if there is a stored trouble code in your vehicle, the extracted trouble code will help you narrow down the possible causes of your vehicle’s trouble. You’re lucky your vehicle isn’t overheating yet. If you have time you can visit this link it might help you http://www.aa1car.com/library/overheat.htm

ML 320 Mercedes Benz 27k miles has no common running problems. German Engineers did the best like Air Craft engines. If you wish to see common problems, you can go to "EBAY" to see how many lists are selling at same devices or parts to sell out, more same parts are selling the more same problems according to selling parts. That will only help you to know. EXAMPLE: If you see 10 or more Transmissions on Ebay list, so then you will worry about your Transmission for $3000.00 in the future. I doubt there is no Transmission for Mercedes Benz are listed on EBAY. You will probably see a lot of Rotor Caps, Wipers, some Valves, Hoses, Fuel Pumps, Starters ect., for tune up on Mercedes Benz in EBAY list are common essential problems. EBAY sellers knew people needs those!! More numerous same parts showed on EBAY list, means common problem to that. Other object, Check local Flood Damage. Most owners will not tell you the truth. Check registry document to verify whereabouts car from that had flood area often effect. There is half million cars under flood damages on the market via crooked insurance agencies. If I was you, I rather to buy "use" Mercedes from people I knew rather than unknown Stranger, otherwise Visit Mercedes Dealership for a new. $$$$$$$$$$$

You can never go wrong with a benz, although maintaining it is a different thing, like the GLK class, its around 50 grand but the maintenance costs hit 70, but hey you can never go wrong with European Luxury cars.

The only problem in Benzes and Beemers are the maintenance costs. Heck, id buy a benz even if it was driven by Evel Knievel.

Pop the hood and unplug the electrical connector running to the back of the headlight bulb that has burned out.

Pull off the dust cover from the back of the headlight housing with your fingers.

Rotate the headlight counterclockwise and pull it out of the back of the headlight housing.

Align the tabs on the replacement 9006 or 9005 headlight with the notches in the headlight housing. Twist the headlight, holding the headlight by the plastic collar, to lock the headlight into the housing.

Replace the dust cover and reconnect the headlight connector.

Many think synthetic is the Gold standard, but on an old car, it can cause more harm than good, because synthetic oil has smaller molecules, and on an older car, it can increase the potential for oil leaks. Your best bet is to use a thick oil. In my Mercedes, I use Castrol 20w50 oil. Don't worry about if it is the high mile formulation or not, it doesn't really matter. The key is to check the oil level on a regular basis (about every 1,000 miles) to make sure you don't run low. The car should take 6 quarts of oil, and takes a non-canister type of filter. If you go to the auto parts store, there is a little book near all the oil filters, (or the person at the parts counter can look it up for you) that book will tell you the specific filter number to buy. Personally, I have always used Fram oil filters, but I don't really think it makes much of a difference what brand you use, as long as you change your oil and filter regularly. Mercedes recomends an oil change and other routine services every 5,000 miles. There is no need to change your oil every 3,000 miles, as it is overkill and is largely a marketing ploy by Jiffy Lube and other companies them to get more business. I have been driving Mercedes for 18 years, and drive between 60,000 - 70,000 miles per year, and have put a total of over 1.1 million miles between 3 cars, and have yet to ever lose an engine or a transmission. I hope that helps.

A/C in my ML 320 is blowing air sometimes it is cold but, somtimes not. I noticed when it is not cooling .
I noticed A/C fans are not engaging when air is not cold. My mechanic said it is the relay . He replaced it but the problem is still existing. If I keep the A/C on it starts cooling for a few days and it stops again. Any tips ? Thank You

Did your mechanic also check the condition of your a/c fans and its wiring for any loose wiring/connection? Also try to check your fuse box where your relay is installed the contacts in it may be corroded or it is damaged and the relay keeps loose.

      Is the kinda-annoying Wrench Symbol?

To reset, turn the ignition key to position 2. Immediately press the button next to the display twice within one second. The present status for days or distance will be displayed. Within 10 seconds, turn the ignition key to the 0 position. Press and hold the button while turning the key to position 2 again. The status for days or distance will be displayed again; continue to hold the button. After 10 seconds, a signal will sound and the display will show 10,000 miles (15 000 km). Release button.
