Thanks for your opinion although you might have misunderstood what I was seeking. Looking for a another point of view, an opinion on the reaction of the garage to what I believe was my "questioning" of their work.

The car's speedomoter, tachometer, gas gauge and all dashboard functions as well as my brake lights have stopped working
I don't know if this is a fuse issue or possibly an alternator issue. I took the vehicle to AutoZone this afternoon and the employee couldn't find where to hook up the diagnostic tool. He checked the fuses and stated they appeared fine.

My car blows air but, it isn't cold air.
I have had it serviced but, it will blow cold air for a while than it's back to warm or hot air. The only air that blows as it should and that is the heat.

check the freon. you may need to have to get a recharge of freon or you might need to have your ac system checked...compressor or lines might be leaking freon or you have to get the lines cleaned, etc.

If the alternator is only putting out 12 volts, that is likely your problem right there. Alternator output should be between 13.5-15 volts for proper battery charge. If you left your lights on all day, and drained the battery too much, you may have destroyed a battery cell. A battery load test and alternator load test should verify which is the culprit.
The window issue is most likely the window motor going bad. Check window motor; also check window motor regulator to make sure it is not binding on anything (which may cause the window motor to overheat and stop working briefly)

Check the r134a charge level of the system. An improper charge level will cause boil-off in the evaporator to occur improperly, sometimes causing one side of the car to blow cold air while the other side blows hot. Also refer to what Alex said, he also has a good point. I have seen the same situation he describes happen on a jeep.

    Why will aircondition stop working
aircondtion does not come on when turned on

    • GT500Knights
      5/6/2014 GT500Knights
This is usually caused by a leak in the system. If the r134a level is too low, the compressor will not cycle on. Could also be due to numerous other problems such as belt tension too loose, climate control unit faults, blown fuses or faulty relays, or an improperly working air conditioning compressor clutch.

    Fuel Gauge not working
I had 1/2 a tank of gas and when I started car and pulled off the gauge just dropped to empty. Is this a blown fuse? If so how do I change it?

Its not a fuse and you will not be able to do any diagnostics on this MB related to the fuel gauge unless you have a MB experienced mechanic that owns a full function MB compatible scan tool. MB vehicles are rather unique with diagnostics and special tools and most techs cannot handle electronics diagnostics on them because of a lack of diagnostic equipment. The equipment is expensive and few shops buy it and if one tries to fix stuff without this equipment, faulty conclusions are drawn most times.
