You'd better use the porsche diagnostic tool to diagnose if you are sure that you can solve it by yourself, or you can also consult a professional mechanic. The MB STAR system, when it made its debut, was much more capable because it was PC-based (IBM T30 laptop), but it was also very versatile

because it incorporated a HHT emulation mode (for backward compatibility) along with a "multiplexer" intermediate unit between the PC and the car,

which allowed the connection of a variety of different diagnostic connection cables, depending on which diagnostic system the car in question happened

to use. For the oldest cars (i.e. the C126, early R129 SL models, early W124s and W140s, etc.) a "four-pin" diagnostic cable was provided. For second-

generation cars, such as the E500E, 400E/E420, middle and later R129s, middle and later W140s, the familiar "38-pin" plug is provided. There are also

OBD-2 interface cables for model year 1996 and later cars, as well as a 14-pin cable for European diagnostic systems. All of these cables allow the

combination of the MB STAR with the in-line multiplexer unit to fully interface with any particular car's computers. The below website may be helpful for you to find the tool. hope it is helpful to you. http://www.plusobd.com/.../...gnostic-tool.html

Why the right side directional lights stay on even after the car is off?
The right side directional lights are frozen on. Had to take fuse off to shut them off. It started just having problems with them few weeks ego when using the lights to make a turn, they would freeze and had to repeat the action to finally get them to reset.

The window on the driver's side is not functioning the mechanic has told me that the "teeth" are broke what do I do ?
can the "teeth" be replaced or do I have to buy the whole motor assembly for the driver's side window or could I just replace the "teeth"?

If the teeth have sheared off from the motor or regulator assembly you would likely only be able to replace the units as an assembly, not individual parts. I have never heard of overhauling a window motor or regulator. Though it probably is possible, it's likely not worth the extra effort and/or labor.

Moon / sun roof possibly leaking, how do you locate and unclog drain holes?

      Technical service bulletin # 77/9

Since august 1981, the area of the spot welded reinforcing plate on the sliding roof fram is being treated with additional sealing material. By doing this, water is prevented from leaking into the interior of the vehicle at the front area of the headliner.

If drops of water appear at the front of the headliner in earlier production vehicles, the front part of the sliding roof frame must be loosened and subsequently sealed along the entire length of the rails (be certain drains are open).

NOTE: water leakage can occur, e.g. When braking the vehicle, because water cannot drain sufficiently fast through the two front drainage openings and then seeps through the spot-welded reinforcing plate on the sliding roof frame.

Well, I would take off the headliner, and take out the sun/moon roof and look carefully for the drainage holes. It is saying they're near the front. Look for a spot-welded reinforcing plate and follow it. You will probably find traces of rust/mildew

A STAR diagnose shows B1003 code (hot water supply pump has short circuit or leak on ground).
Sometimes before that the climate control (I always use AUTO mode) went off when driving. It happenned about 30-50 times a year so it didn't bother me. Now it doesn't happen but there appears a B1003 code.
