My anti-theft alarm red light is flashing. I am afraid it may run down my battery overnight. I have looked at the manu
manual and re-closed trunk and doors. Also followed their advice on how to cancel alarm. How can I stop the red flashing of this light.

All vehicles have a red flashing light on the top of dash or on instrument
cluster that flashes 24/7 with key out if ignition & door closed

This light starts flashing when I lock the door. If I were to leave the car unlocked this light does not flash.

Driver's side window is not functioning
Mechanic says the "teeth" are broken and I would like to know if the "teeth" can be replaced or do I replace the entire motor for the window.

this is too vague...i guess you have a power window...the teeth could be the teeth in the motor, if thats the case you have to replace the motor (you can use a good second hand part/refurbished if available) or the teeth could those on the part/the mechanism that makes the glass go up and down...you can just replace this and keep your functioning motor.

    Gages stopped working
All dashboard gages, with the exception of the economy gage, have stopped working. Where do i start?

Reset the electrical system . Disconnect the both battery terminals from their posts for 20 minutes, prior for the re-installation, rub the both battery terminals for a few minutes to drain any existing charges in the system. In the event, if the dashboard gauges doesn't back to life, then the instrument cluster logic quits.
Note: this trick worked on my 1992 Dodge Caravan and the dashboard gauges still functions ever since.

You'd better use the porsche diagnostic tool to diagnose if you are sure that you can solve it by yourself, or you can also consult a professional mechanic. The MB STAR system, when it made its debut, was much more capable because it was PC-based (IBM T30 laptop), but it was also very versatile

because it incorporated a HHT emulation mode (for backward compatibility) along with a "multiplexer" intermediate unit between the PC and the car,

which allowed the connection of a variety of different diagnostic connection cables, depending on which diagnostic system the car in question happened

to use. For the oldest cars (i.e. the C126, early R129 SL models, early W124s and W140s, etc.) a "four-pin" diagnostic cable was provided. For second-

generation cars, such as the E500E, 400E/E420, middle and later R129s, middle and later W140s, the familiar "38-pin" plug is provided. There are also

OBD-2 interface cables for model year 1996 and later cars, as well as a 14-pin cable for European diagnostic systems. All of these cables allow the

combination of the MB STAR with the in-line multiplexer unit to fully interface with any particular car's computers. The below website may be helpful for you to find the tool. hope it is helpful to you. http://www.plusobd.com/.../...gnostic-tool.html
