Fairly simple task; first step, lock / hold the steering wheel in a central position.
Then, remove the large nut from the pitman arm.
Next, mark the pitman arm position on the splined shaft for the reinstallation in the same position.
Then, using a pitman arm puller - remove the pitman arm from the steering gearbox splined shaft.
Next, place an oil drain pan underneath the steering box to capture fluid. Then, using a self-tapping screw - penetrate the existing seal and pull out the seal from around the gearbox splined shaft - using a pair of pliers.

Place a film of transmission fluid on the new seal for lubrication and install the new seal (being careful of the direction) over the shaft. Tap until seated using a suitable size socket - maybe deep socket sized to just fit inside the steering gearbox diameter.

Reinstall the pitman arm on the spline in the correct position using the index mark. Install the pitman arm nut and torque to specifications.

My air suspension does not work.
The compressor turns on and runs for 2 minutes, and shuts off, illuminating the 'air suspension' light on the dash. It seems the compressor itself is fine, I'm guessing it's the rear height sensor, but not sure. I don't think I have a leak, as the car is all the way ...

Several possibilities; leaking suspension air bag, faulty air bag connection or hoses, or faulty system control relay or fuse.
Check your owners manual for the air suspension switch location. Usually in the trunk. Turn it off and back on and see if that fixes it.

It's best to just get a conversion kit and change out your air suspension with new coil springs and shock absorber for the rear axle. Your air suspension problems will stop. I brought my air conversion for (190.00) from Advance Auto Parts Online. You can go to You Tube and the video would show you how to do it. It's very easy than replacing brakes shoes.

Why does my towncar lose air right after I park it? I start it up and they fill right back up and stay until I park it.
The car has about 75K on it. I started hearing the compressor kicking on when it is in the garage and would even run the battrie down if it had not been started in a week or so. Now in about 3hrs. being parked it's squating, but as soon as you start it, it airs ...

Periodically my air suspension light comes on and I lose my power steering.
Sometimes I'll get it to turn off by turning the car off for a few minutes and turning it back on. I get my power steering back and no lights on panel.

What parts need to be replaced if the rear end of my car squeaks when you bounce on the bumper; and clunks on bumps?
Sometimes the rear sounds like metal hitting metal. I have replaced the shocks/struts in the recent past, not because of the current issue.

If the compressor is not turning on, make sure the height sensor linkage has not come off leaving the height sensor disconnected. the height sensor is at the rear of the car attached to one of the upper control arms. Check the fuse also (engine compartment fuse panel - fuse U - 30 amp) . if the compressor runs but the car is slow to level out or does not level out, get the car on ramps (safely) and with the key turned on and engine off, spray the air bags with windex and look for foaming at the folds near the bottom of the bag or bags indicating air leakage. replace the bags as needed. buy online at strutmasters.com as few sites seem to sell the bags at all and some sites want too much.
