Each system has its pros and cons. They are dependent on the person who owns the vehicle. Now, when it comes to handling and comfort of course Air Suspension is the way to go. Its pricey to maintain but if you are the type of person who loves riding in the clouds, then this system is for you. At the same time, your vehicle won't sag when you put load on it since it will automatically level out.

Now, coilsprings, this is a wise move for people who wants to save money like me. I'd hop on this deal in a heartbeat, besides, the Navigator is comfy enough for me with coil springs installed.

      That's my 2 cents worth.

HI follow, it is the connection in the steering wheel that allow your horn, cruse, and airbag work while you turn the wheel.

I will give you a link that would give you an overview with this

I assume your car had been fixed already, but i hope this will be a help to others with similar problem.

Car made loud rattle? noise from under front left when backing up to park
Had car for 5 days. Car has 128k miles. Got service engine steady light and code for catalytic converter. Beautiful ride. Makes noise when I back up going left w/steering wheel turned all the way. Mechanic didn't get any noise. Suspension?

    • Nissan Technical Advisor
Hi Chicilus, your guess could be right, check it by tapping that portion with a rubber mallet and listen if it produce a rattling noise. If it does rattles it requires replacement.

Went to another mechanic after your answer. I was stunned when he produced the same noise and showed me a plastic 'apron' hanging out of place in front of the left wheel and causing the noise. Free fix! However, I need to get a bad steering wheel fluid leak for $450. He said there are other leaks, too, but this was urgent. Any clue? Thank you for the prompt answers.

I would have guessed leaking line or stearing pump. I just fixed same problem. It started when I turned all the way trying to park, smelled fluid, saw drops underneath, but hard to see where it was coming from. Glad I had someone turn it all the way while I looked because it was only the hose and not the pump. Normally it's the pump. The rubber hose was leaking on the inside curve of a loop, and since fluid was all over couldn't see where it came from until I got my face down there.

either there is a leak in the air suspension system could be the air suspension bags or a broken aire hose., or a problem with the electrical part of the system being the compressor or relay or wiring.

Check first to see if you have an automatic rear leveling system. These ussually are air bag like devices run by a on board small air compressor. When you turn on the ignition you will hear a slight humming noise from the trunk area if in fact this is the case. If so dig deeper

Why does my car drift to the left and shake on the front left side when I'm driving 55-65 mph?
After noticing this problem about a week ago, I looked under the front end and noticed the control arm bushings on the driver's side were completely gone. How do I go about replacing the bushings [step-by-step] and should I also get the front-end aligned ...

There are a LOT of things that can go wrong! It could need a new compressor or just a relay. A little more information is necessary to make a proper diagnosis.

Passenger side air ride suspension lifts upon starting, then immediately starts to drop
this seems to happen more often than not(dropping), but more often when the weather is cold; doesn't matter whethr driving or idling; the warning always follows: check air suspension system

either the pump is weak and not able to keep filling the air suspension or one or both of the bags are leaking. test it to see if you can hear any hissing noises that might be leaking. otherwise it is probably the air suspension pump dieing
