Where is the MES Plug located?
I removed the passenger seat to replace the dual climate control heated and cooled seats and now they work. I put everything back together and started the car and the srs airbag light is on solid and wont go away. Later I found out that the passenger seat sensor ...

I looked at a wiring schematic for your Lincoln for the SRS and there is no connector shown anywhere for jumping out. I sort of remember this being an option for much older Ford products. Your best bet would be to ask a local shop to reset the system for you for a small fee after you explain what you did. Or buy the SRS code scanner on the internet - INNOVA 3150 for about $150

Thank you for your answer. I think I am just going to buy the scanner you are talking about for 150 free shipping on amazon. Thanks Again!!!

Rear hatch powers open, stays open for 1 or 2 seconds then reverses and powers down. Does it need reset. if so, how
Since it's powering open ok it would rule out the need for lift strut replacement right? or can they just be a litte weak at this point and close so quickly from thinking the weight is too much. This occures all the time. been happing for a few months now.

Select "power lift gate off" on the message display and then shut it manually. Then reset it to "power lift gate on" and the lift gate should shut properly.

I suspect that at least one lift support is very weak, especially if you see that when the temperature is warmer out that it does not do this maybe.

Don't just say not working. This has a 8 or 12 way power set with many positions. Have you attempted to see if any position operates? Recline, up, down, how about the heated seat? Is that the only thing not working?

Trunk lid pull down motor doesn't close trunk all the way, and the motor just keeps running. Why?
It was working fine yesterday when took stuff out and closed it-it latched and pulled down, smoothly. Then about 30 minutes later, we opened it, put some stuff in, went about 1 mile down the street, opened and unloaded, shut the trunk and heard it catch but the trunk ...

Need to replace the pulldown assembly. There is a switch that goes bad and the switch cannot be serviced separately.

I cannot get heat on passanger side
I replaced dccv and auxilery coolant pump already ran the diagnostic test from the climate control in the car with no trouble codes and I still have no heat.. also I tried bleading the coolant system from the bleader valve in the car

So just to confirm, you do have heat, just no heat on pass side, correct? Your title says "no heat on pass side" but below that it says "no heat". So that means you have normal heat on the driver side? Or are you intermittently losing heat on both sides. This is a complex system unlike other Ford products and I have to know facts. Also, I assume you confirmed that you did the fault code check by following a procedure with the off and panel buttons to extract codes if there are any and you found none?

Can a GAS TANK FILLER NECK BE REPAIRED
the filler neck drips while pumping gas at the pump. It does not leak while driving

I doubt it would be worth the labor time invested. would have to be removed in order to even attempt to epoxy it. A new filler neck is around $100

Why did my mileage display disappear?
My vehicle mileage is approximately 72K. About 2 days ago, my mileage display disappeared. It comes on as soon as I turn my car for about 5 seconds, then it disppears.

Disconnect the both battery cables negative and positive terminals for 1/2 hour. Prior for the re-installation of the battery cables, rubbed the both terminals for a few minutes to remove any energy may stored in the electrical system.
This trick worked on my 92 Dodge Caravan. In the event, if the gauges do not work then the instrument panel clusters logic quit.
Note: prior to disconnect the battery terminals, ( have a password code ready ) due the new radios will need a password to reinstate the power..

How to change a right side blend door actuator
checked freon level it is full

The right side actuator is an easy replacement and is accessed through the glove box. Lower the glove box door down by disconnecting the door damper cable. release the stops and lower the door down. Remove the heater core tube cover screw. then remove the screws for the RH blend door actuator. get Motorcraft if you can.

I have a short draining my battery. I have searched and searched to no avail. The latest I installed a cut off switch.
There are no warning lights or anything in the DASH readout to indicate I have an electric problem. Has anybody experienced anything like this?

Refer to this website and read / follow the instructions to a letter.

      http://www.popularmechanics.com/.../...ar-battery-drains

Note: a fuse box ( shorted ) could drain the battery as well.

Thanks Jimm and wbrockstar. those answers got me on the right track. When i took the Neg cable off and put the meter between the post and the end of the cable Im getting full battery readout. The test light glows BRIGHT. I will go on to pulling fuses tomorrow with a helper.
      Again many thanks. George
PS I will post my findings tomorrow night.

The easiest way to check is as follows::
      1) remove neg batt cable from battery
      2) hook a test light up between neg batt cable and neg batt post
      3) if test light is on,you indeed have a short
      4) remove fuses one at a time and watch to see if test light goes out after removing a fuse
      5) if test light goes out, then the fuse you just removed is the location of your short
      6) fuse location where the short is will need to be inspected from the beginning to the end of that particular circuit
      7) if test light gets dim but doesnt completely go out,it usually means youve got more than 1 circuit shorted. You can tap sensors, wiggle wiring, etc to recreate an electrical problem sometimes,if its intermittent
      8) it also helps if youve got an assistant that can pull fuses while youre watching the test light or visa versa

I will tell you that in many of the cases where the vehicle owner "thought" there was a short draining the battery, the actual cause was a simple bad battery, so if this battery is questionable at all, take it out and have it tested before continuing. Also, this vehicle cannot be tested for a draw until one hour has lapsed as the modules in this car will not go into sleep mode for as much as one hour after the doors were closed. Monitor the total vehicle amperage drain at the battery after the ignition key is turned off with the drivers door latch tripped to simulate a closed drivers door. A typical amperage drain will show a reading of 200-450 mA for up to 60 minutes. Within 60 minutes of being uninterrupted, the vehicle body computers should enter sleep mode and the vehicle amperage drain should drop to less than 50 mA. If the vehicle drain is high, disconnect all fuses of the instrument panel fuse box one at a time, leaving them out after removal, and note the amperage draw reading after each fuse is removed to determine which fuse and circuit is related to the drain. If all fuses of the instrument panel fuse box are removed and the drain is still above the acceptable level, leave the instrument panel fuse box fuses removed and start to remove all fuses of the engine compartment fuse box one at a time in the same manner while monitoring the meter for a drop below the acceptable level. Once a fuse is identified that effectively causes the drain to drop below the acceptable limit, use wiring diagram information to identify the items fed by the fuse and disconnect them with the fuse reinstalled to determine if any specific item of the circuit is causing the drain. If all items downstream of the fuse are disconnected and removal of the fuse continues to affect the drain, dissect the wiring harness at any connector the circuit passes through to narrow the area of the short. Once the segment of harness causing the drain is identified, either cut the circuit from that connection to its destination and run replacement circuits, or investigate the harness for the internal issue of the circuit. If all fuses of both boxes are disconnected but there is still a high drain reading, disconnect the voltage regulator connection and battery circuits of the alternator to take the alternator out as the possible cause.
