How can i get the speed meter gear in the transmission (differential)asley2009 - 1995 Lexus ES300 - Transmissions & Drivetrains - 5/4/2013280000 mls it is giving speed meter code it is shifting ok but the speed meter is not working the sensor is good but gear in the differential is bad

5/4/2013 JimmThe vehicle speed sensor (with speedometer gear) is mounted to the transmission. The sensor and gear are located on top of differential (sensor installed at slight angle -directly below throttle body). Be aware there are two speed sensors designs on this 3.0L V6 engine - either two terminals or three terminals.
Try the many on-line auto parts sources, such as; www.autopartswarehouse.com or www.rockauto.com for the replacement parts. For example, they (Rock Auto) list the transmission output speed sensor from around $59.00 for your vehicle.

This AM the ignition switch would not turn while pressing the break pedal. The shifter would not move. 2/13/2013 judymborokicheck out what your manufacturer has recommended. most of them will indicate how best to tow your vehicle without damaging it.

1/16/2013 menehune22Have you checked the automatic transmission fluid level? It sounds like it may be low. Your transmission may need to be drained and refilled. Have you been following the Lexus maintenance schedule?

When I reverse my car in morning, I hear a sound near back wheel. Car will drive for three or four blocks, then transmission quts. car wont move. turn key off, let set 1 minute. startjesse - 1995 Lexus ES300 - Transmissions & Drivetrains - 9/12/2012restart car and it will burn rubber but then transmission quits again. turn key off and it will drive again. shits great, no odd noises coming from transmission. is it something electrical?

9/12/2012 JamesrKlassenHey Jesse, I have a 1992 lexus sc 400 It is doing the same thing. Drive a ways then stays in neutral when its in drive. You pull over start it up again and it works for another 5 min or so. I think it may be related to electrical. I was told by my mechanic if I changed the battery in it. It happens I did. But I think its not the stock batterry for car. try putting a new stock battery in from Lordco. If you get an answer please let me know. It just happened today. I have to ride bike to work. 9/12/2012 jessei sold car 9/7/12 for $500. i suspected electrical proble, cause i pull batt left out for three days. when i reinstalled battery, thats when problems bega, radio quick also.
