First question - is the washer pump operating when the switch is activated? if not, then check the washer motor, the switch, fuse and / or related wiring. If the pump operates, then check the spray nozzles first - for blockage (clear out using a straight pin), check the washer fluid hoses for obstruction / blockage.

Usually, there is a separate washer switch, or on some models - the washer motor controls are located on the same wiper controls (stalk) just behind the steering wheel. Check the vehicle owners manual for the exact location.

What is wrong when no air comes out when you turn on the air or the heat?
I had the fuse checked and was told it was good. It stopped all of a sudden but if you drive with the heat off but the knob in the red section you can feel heat coming through the vents but not if you turn on the heat.

If when the blower is not working, everything else is working, like radio, clock and power windows, then your cause is a likely bad blower motor.

Let me just tell you one detail that can make up your mind for you. I have 36 years experience dealing with people and their cars. I'll go on record right now and tell you that there is no way this $800 Sportage just needs an ac charge, because if that is all it needed to make the ac blow cold the owner would have fixed the ac first even before the brakes and the ac would still work right now. A more realistic picture is that the ac likely has expensive to fix major leakage of the refrigerant from the evaporator or the compressor. Nuff said. Most often you do not even get what you pay for.

Gaskets and new flange mounting hardware. The hardware is up to you to decide what size it is unless you are going to order your parts from the Kia Dealer. Then they can also sell you the correct mounting bolts and nuts that attach the y-pipe to the cat.

I have about 72 K on it and do the routine maintenance. When I run my ac/heat there is a constant tapping sound. At first it would quit after a few minutes but now does not stop. It also affects how much air force comes through the air vents. I think part of it is ...

I believe that you have an exhaust leak from the front engine pipe which on your car is serviced as a direct-fit catalytic converter, likely down by the flex joint. A muffler shop can usually cut the leaking section out and weld in a new section or almost any registered repair shop can replace the complete front pipe / converter ass'y with a new part. Just price it out both ways and try to get it priced out with a free estimate / free inspection while you wait. You can buy the part yourself online at many online auto parts web sites for about $250, it just might be more difficult for you to find a shop to install a part that you supplied.
