Several possibilities; faulty radiator fan switch, faulty fan temperature sensor. If the vehicle is less than 3 years and 36k miles - it may be still under warranty, Have the dealership repair the vehicle under the new car warranty service at no cost to yourself.

A 'CHECK ENGINE' warning light just popped-up on my vehicle dash board on a 2007 Kia Sedona LX. Thanks.
No visible, audible, smely nor otherwise symptoms observed. Mid premium gasoline use. All parameters appear normal and the next inspection is 700 miles down the road, for tunin, oil change, etc, etc. Please advise :::: Harold.

Check the vehicle for fault codes to see if there are any sensors were involved to the malfunction of the engine.

1.Local auto parts stores such as Autozone ( not in California) or Advance Auto parts will scan and retrieve any diagnostic trouble codes ( dtc ) stored in the powertrain control module for free of charge..

      2. Amazon.com has the code reader for less than $18.25 dollars + shipping
Autel MaxiScan MS300 CAN Diagnostic Scan Tool for OBDII Vehicles

3.Re-post the dtc's in here " answer question " for further assistance.

Note: we need the dtc's to identify the sensor, there are a dozen different sensors to operate the car.

Visit this site and see all the different sensors.

First step - check and refill the engine oil level (as necessary). Once the oil level is OK - can you determine the source of the noise? From the top or bottom of the engine? Does the sound change with engine speeds? Need more information and detail to help you with this issue.

For example a connecting rod knock will be a dull, low-pitched sound originating from inside or around the lower section of the engine - such as the oil pan.

A valve or camshaft related knocking or ticking may be a lighter, tapping or clicking sound heard from the top of the engine - in the area just under the valve cover.

You may use (carefully) an inexpensive stethoscope - a long handled screwdriver, with one end (the tip) touching the valve cover or area of the noise - with the handle end against your ear. With the engine running - listen and sense for the vibration and noise transmitted. You can inspect using this method for any place on the engine to determine the source of the sound.
There are also mechanic stethoscopes available for this same purpose - check with the local auto parts stores in your area. I keep one of these in my tool kit - comes in handy.

Please post a reply with the results

The suction from the water pump usually affects the lower hose.
For the top hose it's suggested to check the radiator cap and the overflow tank line for blockage.

Have you checked the radiator cap and the reservoir / overflow tank line for blockage? If not, then start with these components.

Plug in a code reader and see the fault code that is now stored so the problem can be diagnosed.

Car won't start unless I apply gas immediatley
Was starting but when I shifted intio gear it would almost stall and I would have to pump the gas to get it to drive but would drive fine. This morning it stalled when I started it and I had to pump the gas to get it going

Plug in a code reader and see what fault codes may be stored. the check engine lamp need not be illuminated for a code to be there. Post the code number after you check. This step cannot be skipped.

I was told by a Mechanic the Check eNGINE LIGHT NEEDS TO BE ON TO CHECK IT. iTS NOT ON.

You were misinformed. You cannot begin to diagnose any car without checking for fault codes first. That is a step that cannot be skipped.
